Ready to open its doors on the 30th October, FLIBS has a big show instore to celebrate its iconic 60th anniversary.
Spanning over seven outstanding locations, this year's event is scheduled to see more than 1200 exhibitors from 52 countries. A first for FLIBS in their diamond anniversary event is the official debut of yachts from Turkey and Dubai. Hargrave Custom Yachts will be showcasing their 186-foot 2020 Hargrave Motoryacht “BABA’S”, which is the largest vessel ever built at the Dutch shipyard. Majesty Yachts U.S.A., based in Dubai, will be debuting their Majesty 140 and Majesty 100.
In addition to the staggering list of debuts and world premieres highlighting the show, one of the main gamechangers for the historic event is the debut of the Superyacht Village. The brand new exhibition space is located at Pier Sixty-Six Hotel & Marina’s new “Pier South” property and can host vessels which measure 300+ ft. Examples of esteemed vessels appearing in the stunning new exhibition are Lürssen’s Madsummer, Excellence from Abeking & Rasmussen and Heesen Yachts' Vida.
Over 15 vessels will be making their debut at the prestigious event including some of these firm industry favourites.
Madsummer | Lürssen
The largest yacht appearing at FLIBS 2019, the world premiere of Madsummer will be hosted in the highly anticipated new Superyacht Village. Built to PYC regulations, the 311ft megayacht features eyecatching collaborative design work from Harrison Eidsgaard on the sweeping exteriors and Studio Laura Sessa for the interiors.
Created to express the owner's love of yachting, the Lurssen vessel has many outstanding features including a 12 metre swimming pool on the main deck, a spacious diving area and healh spa, plus intricate design features like an upper deck skylight and fireplace.
Excellence | Abeking & Rasmussen
Making her US debut at the new Superyacht Village by Pier 66, Excellence makes her second appearance to the public after making her global debut at the Monaco Yacht Show. Designed by Winch Design, the 262ft vessel has a modern meets futuristic exterior which encompasses a striking angular bow that is said to reflect the image of a spaceship.
Capable of top speeds of 16 knots and comfortable cruising at 13 knots, Excellence can accommodate up to 14 guests at any one time and store a selection of limousine tenders and top of the range watertoys. Key features onboard include a fully certified helicopter landing zone, spacious beach club, a swimming pool plus a Jacuzzi.
Marquis Lexus 650 | Lexus Yachts
Constructed in collaboration between Lexus, the popular automotive brand, and Marquis-Larson Boat Group the all new Marquis Lexus 650 is a 65 foot vessel which provides the premium performance you'd expect from a Lexus car.
Featuring a layout to accommodate up to six guests, the first model from Lexus features some of their style traits like leather seating and flatscreen TVs.
VIDA | Heesen
Another vessel to spend her FLIBS duration in the new Superyacht Village, VIDA is the third hull of the 55 metre Steel class from Heesen. With exteriors designed by Frank Laupman of Omega Architects, VIDA has maximum speeds of 16 knots and cruising speeds of 13 knots. Capable of reaching a range of 4,500 nautical miles she is an ideal vessel for exploring widespread archipelagos or making transatlantic crossings.
Boasting an impressive 250 square metres of entertaining space, VIDA can offer guests spacious socialising areas with plush furnishings and indulgent facilities. A 110 square metre sundeck to a sky lounge provides an exemplary relaxation zone which is wrapped almost entirely in glass, allowing guests to enjoy pamoramic views.
BABA’S I Hargrave Custom Yachts
A historic first for FLIBS, Hargrave Custom Yachts are showcasing their 186’ 2020 model known as BABA'S. As the first vessel to debut at the prestigious event from Turkey, BABA'S is certified to Lloyds 100 A-1 Commercial Class and is constructed with steel and aluminum.
The largest yacht in the history of Hargrave Custom Yachts, there is a layout of six spacious staterooms. A full beam on deck master suite offers owners an indulgent sanctuary, a deluxe VIP suite is situated on the upper deck and a further four staterooms are located on the lower deck.
Majesty 140 | Majesty
Another first for the show, Dubai based shipyard Majesty are debuting the Majesty 140 to the American market. Boasting a spacious beachfront deck with balconies on both sides the Majesty 140 offers exceptional socialising spaces for guests to mingle and relax in ultimate comfort.
Wide expanses of windows let in an abundance of natural light to highlight all the premium furnishings throughout the interiors, while also providing stunning panoramic views around the vessel. A private 55 square metre lounge area equipped with a large TV screen situated on the middle floor of the upper deck is a key feature of the stunning yacht.
V50 | Princess
British shipyard, Princess, make their return to the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show with multiple vessels including the all new V50. Showcasing a dynamic exterior and exceptional performance acquainted with the V Class range, the V50 offers voluminous interiors for its size and has many innovative solutions.
Offering owners various options to tailor the vessel to their needs, there are transformable spaces which includes the lower deck saloon which can be used as an entertaining space, converted to a double berth or even add in the option of a third cabin.
Ferretti Yachts 720 | Feretti Group
Designed to 'create the comfort of a villa at sea', the Ferretti 720 measures up at 73 feet and can accommodate 18 dayguests and eight guests for an overnight stay onboard. Capable of reaching a top speed of 32 knots with a cruising speed of 28 knots, the 720 features extensive collaborative work from architect Filippo Salvetti and the in house team.
There's a high quality finish throughout the vessel, as is to be expected from the prestigious Italian brand, and there's a layout of four cabins which comprises of a full beam master, a VIP and two doubles.
