Singapore Yacht Show postponed due to ongoing safety concerns

A year on from being the first international yachting event to be postponed due to COVID, the Singapore Yacht Show once again postpones through ongoing concerns surrounding the pandemic.

With less than six weeks until the event was scheduled to open its doors for a celebratory 10th edition, the organizing team at Verventia acted on the solidarity of shareholders and major exhibitors to postpone the event for the third time.

Although the upcoming yachting event adhered to the Safe Management Measures that is currently imposed on all business events in Singapore, the managing team considers the pandemic still too big a challenge to establish the event in a completely COVID-secure way.

Usually hosted at the award-winning ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove, the Singapore Yacht Show has become a fundamental yachting event in the Asian yachting market, presenting visitors with opportunities to view and board some of the most impressive yachts for sale

Obviously this is something that nobody wanted, but the same forces that have taken away the shows have at the same time created a massive uplift in the industry.

CEO

Verventia

Remaining optimistic about the upturn in the yachting industry, despite the constant setbacks on shows and events, Verventia CEO Andy Treadwell has stated there are ongoing discussions with the local government to find a new date which will head towards the latter end of 2021.

In addition to the wait on new dates for the 2021 Singapore Yacht Show, Treadwell has also indicated an intention of 'consolidating the three regional shows and planning major changes' in how they operate.
