WATCH: Mangusta Launches 'Unleash the Lion' in the GranSport 33 Series

On 14 January 2025, Mangusta launched Unleash the Lion, the 10th hull in its GranSport 33 series, for a Northern European owner. The yacht follows the established design of the series, combining streamlined aesthetics with a focus on performance.

This latest addition to the fleet continues Mangusta’s legacy of blending aggressive styling with high performance, solidifying its reputation in the luxury yacht market.

The GranSport 33 is another successful collaboration between Mangusta and Alberto Mancini, featuring a sleek profile that complements its powerful engineering. Equipped with four high-power Volvo Penta engines and an IPS propulsion system, this model achieves top speeds of 25 knots while minimizing noise and vibrations for an unparalleled cruising experience.

In the early hours before dawn, under the cover of darkness, the yacht was carefully wheeled out of the shed and maneuvered through narrow streets on its way to the water. The sight of the massive vessel gliding through the town, flanked by escort vehicles and guided by precision engineering, was a striking spectacle. At the christening ceremony, the owners marked the occasion in traditional fashion—smashing a champagne bottle against the anchor before the yacht was gracefully lowered into the water for the first time, a momentous milestone in its journey to the open seas.

This launch marks another milestone for the Overmarine Group, which has delivered a total of nine yachts in this model series, with two more currently in build. The next available unit is expected to be ready in 2026, reflecting the strong demand for this model.

Among the notable units in this range are Never Give Up and Yalla , both delivered in 2024, as well as Mystere and Crazy Too , launched in 2023 and 2022, respectively. The fleet also includes Samo , Offline , Artemis , and Lady K , each contributing to the model’s growing success in both private ownership and charter markets.

This particular hull features a five-cabin layout, including a master stateroom on the main deck measuring over 40 square meters. Extensive glazing ensures uninterrupted sea views and maximum privacy for its owner, reinforcing Mangusta’s commitment to both style and comfort.
