Interior
Inside, Nick appreciated the satin finish wood decking, which he preferred over high gloss, and the large windows offering views of the marina. A standout feature was the side balcony, which can be deployed when the yacht is at rest. It would be an ideal spot when anchored off port, providing a strong connection with the water.
The yacht featured a designated dining area and wine coolers, but what really caught Nick’s attention was the helm position with three big screens displaying the radar, chartplotter, and the operating systems of the boat. He found the schematic diagrams for the boat's wiring and plumbing to be a helpful feature for maintenance.
Nick was fascinated by the cabin accommodation options. The yacht offered a wonderful owners cabin, which could either be used by the owner or a very lucky guest. There was also a self-contained double cabin.
Crew Accommodation
In the crew quarters, there is a mess area, monitoring systems, two twin cabins, and a heads with a separate shower stall.
Performance
The engine room, housing two MTU engines, each with about 2,000 horsepower, was an impressive sight. Also featured is twin generators and a watermaker.
On Deck
The Sunseeker 86 has a hi-lo platform at the back of the yacht, which is capable of holding a dinghy of about four to four and a half meters.
The flybridge was impressive with its bar area and comfortable seating. He was particularly fond of the black hardtop and color-coordinated radar, lights, and aerials. The yacht's exterior areas were also well-lit, creating a soft glow at night.
