Her significant refit, overseen by McCarter and Associates design, marked a new chapter under her previous owner. The current owner has continued to elevate the yacht's standards, introducing major upgrades such as Gyro and Fin stabilization, a sewage treatment plant, updated electronics, a 4000 lb. davit, AV, and a Savant system. In 2022, a beach club extension further enhanced its appeal. Recently, EL REY also underwent a yard period at Marine Group Boat Works in San Diego, CA, before embarking on two highly successful charter seasons in Mexico and Alaska.
