Yanmar 6BY3 Range

Featuring a robust four-stroke, water-cooled diesel configuration, the 6BY3-220 and 6BY3-260 deliver maximum outputs of 220mhp @ 4,000rpm, and 260mhp @ 4,000rpm, respectively.

The inline six-cylinders have a displacement of 183 cubic inches and are equipped with a direct injection system using Bosch common-rail technology, turbochargers, and charge-air coolers, ensuring responsive and efficient combustion. The start-assist glow-plug system ensures smooth ignition even in cold conditions, while the enclosed, forced lubrication system keeps vital components running smoothly.

Built to withstand the rigors of marine environments, the engines utilize both freshwater and seawater systems for cooling, with centrifugal freshwater pumps and rubber impeller seawater pumps. Furthermore, the 6BY3 range is certified to meet environmental standards including EPA Tier 3 and SOLAS MED 96/98/EC.
