Design & Construction

Designed around a full displacement steel hull and a steel / wood superstructure she features a 30' beam and a 13'1" draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 720 GT (Gross Tonnes).

The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards.

Exterior Design

Haida 1929 features a classic exterior profile, true to its original 1929 design by Krupp Germaniawerft. The yacht's silhouette is marked by a distinguished bowsprit, extending the overall length to 71.1 meters. The hull, constructed of riveted steel, has been well-preserved and retains its structural integrity above the waterline, reflecting the high standards of craftsmanship from the era of its construction.

Substantial work has been undertaken to replace over 100 tonnes of steel below the waterline, addressing corrosion and reinforcing the yacht's longevity. Despite this, the yacht maintains its historical appearance, with careful attention paid to not altering its classic lines and profile.

The sundeck has been thoughtfully updated to enhance guest entertainment and leisure. It now includes a pool and a new bar, complemented by an extended awning for shade. Original features, such as the tender davits, have been updated to comply with modern safety standards while preserving the traditional aesthetic.

The dining areas, located on the owner's deck and the main aft deck, offer versatility for various social occasions without detracting from the yacht's time-honored design. The addition of three biofuel fireplaces across the communal areas introduces a functional element of warmth while adhering to the yacht's theme of integrating contemporary features without compromising its historical integrity.

Artfully restored to her majestic best, superyacht HAIDA 1929 has undeniable grandeur, and it's combined with a vast array of modern facilities that will delight anyone who steps onboard.

Interior Design

The interior design of Haida 1929 is a harmonious blend of historical elegance and modern sophistication. The materials selected for the interiors are chosen for their quality and their ability to complement the yacht's classic charm. White Calacatta Oro marble, mahogany floors, and teak joinery provide a sense of continuity with the yacht's rich past, while also offering durability and a timeless aesthetic.

Within the communal spaces, the integration of three biofuel fireplaces crafted from refined materials adds a touch of warmth and sophistication. These features utilize bioethanol fuel, allowing for a clean and efficient source of heat that aligns with contemporary environmental considerations.

The living areas are accentuated by soft white carpeting from Loro Piana, creating an atmosphere of tranquility and comfort underfoot. The careful selection of interior furnishings and finishes reflects a commitment to maintaining the heritage of the vessel while ensuring that the spaces remain functional and inviting.

The formal dining saloon stands out as a centerpiece for social gatherings, complete with a fireplace that enhances the ambiance. The attention to detail is evident in the space's design, where historical charm is preserved while incorporating modern amenities that facilitate elegant dining experiences.

The yacht's interior also includes a dedicated spa room, offering guests a private retreat for relaxation and rejuvenation. The conversion of a former storage area into a Hammam spa, massage room, and hairdressing parlor demonstrates the yacht's adaptability and focus on guest comfort.

Lighting throughout the yacht has been upgraded and refurbished, with fixtures selected to provide an even, soothing illumination that complements the natural light entering through the portholes. The portholes themselves have been carefully maintained and updated to ensure they meet contemporary standards while preserving the yacht's historical character.

The interior design of Haida 1929 is a thoughtful fusion of the yacht's storied past with the necessities of modern luxury living. It exhibits an attention to detail and a respect for both history and functionality, ensuring that guests enjoy a sophisticated and comfortable experience.
