Haida 1929 is an award winning 233'3" classic yacht delivered by German shipyard Krupp Germaniawerft in 1929. Her naval architecture and exterior design comes from the drawing boards of Cox & Stevens, while Jean-Guy Verges is responsible for her interior design.

Design & Construction

Designed around a full displacement steel hull and a steel / wood superstructure she features a 30' beam and a 13'1" draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 720 GT (Gross Tonnes).

The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards.

Exterior Design

Haida 1929 features a classic exterior profile, true to its original 1929 design by Krupp Germaniawerft. The yacht's silhouette is marked by a distinguished bowsprit, extending the overall length to 71.1 meters. The hull, constructed of riveted steel, has been well-preserved and retains its structural integrity above the waterline, reflecting the high standards of craftsmanship from the era of its construction.

Substantial work has been undertaken to replace over 100 tonnes of steel below the waterline, addressing corrosion and reinforcing the yacht's longevity. Despite this, the yacht maintains its historical appearance, with careful attention paid to not altering its classic lines and profile.

The sundeck has been thoughtfully updated to enhance guest entertainment and leisure. It now includes a pool and a new bar, complemented by an extended awning for shade. Original features, such as the tender davits, have been updated to comply with modern safety standards while preserving the traditional aesthetic.

The dining areas, located on the owner's deck and the main aft deck, offer versatility for various social occasions without detracting from the yacht's time-honored design. The addition of three biofuel fireplaces across the communal areas introduces a functional element of warmth while adhering to the yacht's theme of integrating contemporary features without compromising its historical integrity.

Interior Design

The interior design of Haida 1929 is a harmonious blend of historical elegance and modern sophistication. The materials selected for the interiors are chosen for their quality and their ability to complement the yacht's classic charm. White Calacatta Oro marble, mahogany floors, and teak joinery provide a sense of continuity with the yacht's rich past, while also offering durability and a timeless aesthetic.

Within the communal spaces, the integration of three biofuel fireplaces crafted from refined materials adds a touch of warmth and sophistication. These features utilize bioethanol fuel, allowing for a clean and efficient source of heat that aligns with contemporary environmental considerations.

The living areas are accentuated by soft white carpeting from Loro Piana, creating an atmosphere of tranquility and comfort underfoot. Accommodation

Haida 1929 offers accommodation for up to 13 guests in 7 suites comprising an owners cabin, 2 VIP cabins, 1 double cabin, 2 twin cabins and 1 single cabin. She is also capable of carrying up to 18 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel Krupp Mak (6L 40/67M) 6-cylinder 738hp engines running at 250rpm, motor yacht Haida 1929 is capable of reaching a top speed of 14 knots, and comfortably cruises at 11 knots. With her 39,626 gallon fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 6,000 nautical miles at an economic speed of 10 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters.

Amenities

Rest and relaxation can be achieved on board, thanks to a luxury spa and massage room. In addition, full cinema facilities ensure five-star entertainment. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. Haida 1929 also features a deck jacuzzi for cooling off. The yacht's library is a beautiful addition to her range of leisure facilities, and acts as a lovely spot for relaxing or browsing.

Haida G can accommodate 12 guests for cruising, in seven luxurious guest cabins. The master cabin is located on the bridge deck, and features a delightful private salon, which opens up to the boat deck. On the main deck, there is a large main salon and a cosy library.
