The 33.5m motor yacht Birdy was delivered to her owners in 2004 by Broward. Her naval architecture and exterior design comes from the drawing boards of Donald L. Blount & Associates, while Luiz de Basto Designs is responsible for her interior design.
Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 6.1m beam and a 1.8m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 171 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Accommodation
Birdy offers accommodation for up to 10 guests in 5 suites comprising an owners cabin, 1 VIP cabin, 2 double cabins and 1 twin cabin. She is also capable of carrying up to 6 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (3412E) 1,350hp engines, motor yacht Birdy is capable of reaching a top speed of 22 knots, and comfortably cruises at 16 knots. With her 35,961 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 2,400 nautical miles at 13 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.
Amenities
In addition, a swim platform is on hand for guests looking to cool off in the sea. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. Birdy also features a deck jacuzzi for cooling off and an inviting spread of sunpads.
