The 35m motor yacht Why Knot was delivered to her owners in 2023 by Dutch shipyard Vanquish Yachts. Her exterior design comes from the drawing boards of Guido de Groot Design, while Studio Delta is responsible for her naval architecture.

Design & Construction

Designed around a planing aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 6.7m beam and a 1.35m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 200 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the first yacht built on the VQ115 Veloce design. Launched in May 2023 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in June 2023.

Accommodation

Why Knot offers accommodation for up to 8 guests in 3 suites comprising an owners cabin and 1 VIP cabin. She is also capable of carrying up to 4 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by 3 x diesel MTU (16V 2000 M96L) 2,600hp engines, motor yacht Why Knot is capable of reaching a top speed of 53 knots. She has a maximum range of 600 nautical miles. Her planing hull design means she is fast and efficient as she slices through the water.
