Vanquish Yachts launched its new flagship VQ115 Veloce superyacht from its facility in the Netherlands.
The high-performance motor yacht, measuring 35m (115ft) in length was originally commissioned in October 2020 by a repeat client and is the largest yacht produced by the builder to date. The superyacht is scheduled for delivery to the Hamptons, New York City, USA later in 2023.
The exterior boasts a sporty aesthetic, featuring a slender hull and integrated flybridge designed by Guido de Groot. According to Vanquish Yachts, the VQ115 Veloce will "allow large groups of people to be entertained, enjoy extended stays on board, and tap into a wide range of watersports."
The interior of the flagship is designed for both luxury and flexibility. The main saloon features freestanding furniture that can be rearranged as needed, and the yacht can accommodate up to eight guests across a master suite, a VIP cabin, and a guest cabin. A dedicated media room doubles as a fourth cabin with two Pullman berths, providing a versatile space for quieter evenings.
The initial design discussions began with a VQ90 concept but evolved to include an extra cabin, a dedicated dining area on the lower deck, and two garages.
Vanquish Yachts describes the interior design as "futuristic" with a "casual groove," featuring marine blue tones and teak floors extending from the aft deck through the interior. The exterior decks are designed for open social spaces, with a large foredeck hosting a lounge and al fresco dining area, a saltwater Jacuzzi hidden beneath the sunbeds, and a flybridge with a second helm station and sunbathing spot.
The yacht's cohesive indoor-outdoor ambiance, facilitated by the main aft deck flowing into the interior, ensures ease when entertaining guests. The yacht's galley, located below decks with a country kitchen layout, allows guests to interact with the chef while freeing up main-deck space for an office and flexible entertainment areas.
The 100 GT VQ115 Veloce, is powered by three MTU Rolls Royce 2,650hp engines and designed with an efficient Petestep hull by Studio Delta. Claimed to be one of the fastest aluminum yachts on the water, the yacht can reach a top speed of over 40 knots. A range of 500nm can be achieved when running on two out of three engines, and an extra fuel tank is fitted to enable cruising at 15 knots. Furthermore, twin Seakeeper stabilizers ensure stability when underway.
Alongside its powerful engines, the VQ115 Veloce offers ample space for a tender bay aft, housing a VQ16 with a hydraulic platform for easy launch and recovery. A second garage on the starboard side accommodates a VQ11 water scooter and serves as a leisure area equipped with a bait tank, paddleboards, SeaBobs, and other toys. The yacht's shallow draft of 1.35m (4.4ft) makes it suitable for cruising in shallow waters, and it features two gyro stabilizers for enhanced comfort.
The VQ115 is expected to be delivered in June 2023.
