Pershing Launches New GTX70: Sporty Style in a Compact Package

The first unit of the new Pershing GTX70, the smallest model in the Sport Utility Yachts range, has been launched by Pershing

The 22m vessel hit the water on March 19 in Fano, Italy, marking both a key addition to the GTX line and the start of Pershing’s 40th anniversary celebrations.

The GTX70 joins the Pershing GTX80 and Pershing GTX116 as part of a series aimed at bringing together performance with more generous living spaces. Despite being the most compact of the trio, the GTX70 builds on the same foundations—sharp handling, bold design, and a strong connection to the sea—with a layout that maximises comfort and space in a sub-24-metre format.

The yacht is the result of a close collaboration between Pershing’s parent company Ferretti Group, design studio Vallicelli Design, and the Group’s own engineering team. The hull was developed at the Group’s Plug and Mould facility, and final construction was completed at the new production site in Mondolfo, which is dedicated to the GTX series.

The exterior carries all the familiar hallmarks of Pershing’s current design language. A sheer line that curves slightly from bow to stern and a vertical bow give it a sleek, purposeful stance. A key feature is the pair of fold-out terraces in the aft cockpit, which open up to expand the beach area to 23 square metres. The first unit includes an integrated sunpad on the transom, and the swim platform uses dual linear lift technology for added flexibility—doubling as a tender launcher and extra deck space.

Inside, the main deck is designed around flow and openness. The cockpit sits beneath the overhang of the sportbridge and features a C-shaped sofa and dining table. A glass panel built into the galley unit connects the interior and exterior lounges, much like on the larger GTX80. Forward, a widebody layout creates space for two L-shaped sofas arranged opposite each other in the main salon. The interior colour palette leans into contrast, with dark nubuck leather used on the seating and lighter tones for structural elements like the stairwell. LED strip lighting lines the ceiling and continues on the lower deck.

Below, the sportsboat accommodates six guests across three cabins, all with en suites. The sportbridge spans 16 square metres and is split between sunbathing, dining and helm areas. Owners can also opt for an electric bimini top supported by carbon poles to shade the upper deck when needed.

Powered by three 900hp Volvo Penta D13 IPS1200 engines, the yacht is expected to reach 35 knots at full throttle, with a cruising speed of around 30 knots. It is certified under CE Category A, ensuring its compliance with the highest safety standards for yachts under 24 metres.
