Known as SX6001, this cutting-edge explorer yacht is now entering its final outfitting phase, including commissioning and sea trials, ahead of its scheduled delivery in summer 2025.
Built at Damen Yachting’s dedicated Antalya shipyard, the Xplorer 60 is engineered for autonomy, comfort, and versatility, capable of navigating both glamorous Mediterranean hotspots and the harsh polar frontiers. It follows in the footsteps of Damen’s award-winning explorer yacht series, including the Xplorer 58 PINK SHADOW and the Xplorer 77 LA DATCHA, both of which have enjoyed success on the charter market.
A Yacht Designed for Global Exploration
The Xplorer 60 is designed for owners who seek exceptional experiences beyond conventional superyachting. With a fully certified helideck, Ice Class hull, and IMO Polar Code compliance, she is equipped for all destinations—North and South. Hybrid power and propulsion systems, including battery banks, enhance efficiency and sustainability.
Her explorer-focused design also features a Crow’s Nest and an Observation Lounge, offering unobstructed panoramic views—perfect for spotting Arctic wildlife or breathtaking landscapes. Meanwhile, the extended Main Deck aft area allows for the storage and launch of a limo tender, crew tender, and jet skis, ensuring seamless expedition capability.

Interior by H2 Yacht Design
For its interior styling, Damen Yachting turned to H2 Yacht Design, marking their first collaboration on an Xplorer yacht. The yacht features three guest decks with six suites accommodating up to 12 guests, along with 16 crew plus the Captain. A spa area with a full-size whirlpool on the Bridge Deck Aft brings traditional superyacht luxury into the explorer space, ensuring owners and guests can unwind in comfort after adventurous excursions.
With the launch of the Xplorer 60, Damen Yachting further strengthens its position in the luxury explorer yacht market, providing owners with a versatile vessel that balances capability with comfort. As the first in its series, SX6001 sets a new benchmark for modern superyacht exploration.
