The awards ceremony, held during the SEA Yachting Conference and alongside the Singapore Yachting Festival, brought together some of the biggest names in the industry to celebrate excellence across the Asian superyacht sector.
Since its introduction in 2022, the Amels 80 has been met with strong enthusiasm from both the industry and clients, signalling a new chapter in the evolution of the Amels Limited Editions series.
Sarah Flavell, Marketing Manager at Damen Yachting, accepted the award on behalf of the company. She highlighted how meaningful it was for the Amels brand to be recognised in a region that has become increasingly significant for the builder.
A New Generation of Superyacht Design
The Amels 80 represents a step forward for the brand, bringing together exterior design by Espen Øino, interiors by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design, and naval architecture by Damen Yachting. Emphasising a balance of performance, elegance, and enduring craftsmanship, the 80m yacht builds on Amels’ heritage while introducing a fresh, future-focused approach.

Built at Damen Yachting’s facility in the Netherlands, the superyacht has been described as a superyacht shaped by nature and refined through generations of expertise.
Stretching 80 metres (261 feet) in length with a 12.5-metre (41-foot) beam, the Amels 80 is a sizeable addition to the Limited Editions range. She carries a gross tonnage of 2,175 GT and offers a transoceanic range of 5,000 nautical miles at 12 knots.
On board the motor yacht, accommodation is arranged for 14 guests and 20 crew members, plus the Captain, with a layout that focuses on delivering comfort and smooth service.
The first hull of the Amels 80, named Pangea, is scheduled for her official launch this May, and handover to her owner is set for the summer.
From Limited Editions to Custom Giants
Amels' order book continues to grow; according to YachtBuyer Market Watch, there are five Amels 80 yachts currently in build or on order. Alongside these, four Amels 60 yachts are also under construction. Designed by Espen Øino, the Amels 60 features a tri-deck layout with a sharp, architectural profile, hybrid propulsion, and a volume of 830 GT.
The model offers owners a proven platform with room for customisation across the interior and decks, integrating oceangoing performance and a refined design.
Completing the line-up is the 120-metre custom yacht Tanzanite. Scheduled for delivery in 2025, Tanzanite showcases Espen Øino’s sleek exterior styling and Zuretti’s warm, elegant interiors, complete with dual swimming pools, large windows, and a marble staircase encircling a glass elevator.
