The 67m (219.8ft) custom superyacht Sparta recently took home two awards at the 2024 ISS Awards, winning Best Motor Yacht Above 500GT and Best Interior.
After winning the 2023 World Yacht Trophies for the best exterior design at the Cannes Yachting Festival in the 50-82m range, the Heesen superyacht Sparta now has three prestigious awards under her belt. Founded in 1990, these awards recognize excellence in large yacht design and construction.

Her design, crafted in collaboration with Winch Design, presents a sleek exterior inspired by a 67m wave, balancing natural forms with dynamic lines. Her aesthetic seduces with a blade-like structure that flows naturally between the indoor and outdoor spaces. Julia Roestenberg, Senior Interior Designer at Winch Design, noted that “the vision of creating a 'floating home on the ocean' guided the project from concept to completion.”
The interior features light timbers, bronze accents, and soft golds that create a warm, inviting atmosphere. Details like wave-patterned carpets and tramazite installations above the VIP cabin beds add a touch of playful luxury. The owners wanted a lively, welcoming space with unique touches that mirrored their vibrant lifestyle.
The master suite on the upper deck offers a spacious, sky-like retreat, perfect for relaxation. With mother-of-pearl inlays and custom carpets, it feels more like an expansive apartment. The suite houses a unique solar system representation that is great for entertaining younger guests. Meanwhile, the lower deck wellness area offers a relaxing retreat, complete with a hardwood whirlpool and a Turkish bath finished with cool ceramic tiles.
Her advanced performance features and wellness-focused amenities, along with well-planned crew quarters, reflect the shipyard’s dedication to comfort and functionality.
