Marking a significant milestone in her journey to becoming one of the most advanced exploration yachts ever built, it is expected to take approximately three days for expedition yacht REV Ocean to reach the Damen facility, where she will undergo an extensive 15 to 18-month outfitting process.
A true masterpiece of modern yacht design, the future world's biggest yacht boasts an exterior crafted by Espen Øino International, with interiors envisioned by London-based H2 Yacht Design and naval architecture by the VARD Group.
Just last month, the first interior renderings of the yacht were unveiled, offering an exclusive preview of the yacht’s ultra-luxurious spaces as she prepares to enter her final stages of construction.

With a gross tonnage of 19,235 GT, REV OCEAN is built to accommodate guests across 18 sumptuously appointed cabins, while also offering capacity for up to 34 scientists onboard. Following her completion, 75% of her voyages will be dedicated to scientific research in what is referred to as “Science Mode".
For the remaining 25% of operations, she will be available for private expeditions under “Expedition Mode". During these charters, guests onboard the motor yacht will have the unique opportunity to actively participate in onboard scientific projects, making marine conservation both engaging and educational.
This marks a major milestone, and REV Ocean is closer than ever to setting sail on her first mission in 2027—bringing together scientists, policymakers, and innovators to tackle ocean challenges like plastic pollution, climate change, and overfishing.

State-of-the-Art Exploration Meets Opulent Relaxation
REV OCEAN is equipped with an extraordinary array of scientific and exploratory technology, including the DSV Aurelia, an acrylic submersible engineered for deep-sea exploration. This is complemented by the ROV Aurora, a remotely operated vehicle capable of reaching depths of up to 6,000 metres.
Further enhancing her capabilities are autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs), two helipads, and a fully equipped dive centre, featuring advanced gear for diverse marine environments. Guests onboard can also enjoy world-class leisure amenities, from outdoor lounges and a spa to a paddle tennis court and swimming pool.
A New Era for Superyacht Rankings
Currently, the 15,917 GT superyacht DILBAR holds the top position on YachtBuyer's YB100, which ranks the largest yachts by gross tonnage. However, with its impressive 19,045 GT, REV OCEAN is set to take the number one spot, surpassing DILBAR as the world's largest yacht by volume.
In addition, at 195m (639ft), REV OCEAN will also become the longest yacht in the Top100, overtaking the 181m (593ft) superyacht AZZAM, which has held the title since her delivery in 2013. As REV OCEAN secures her place at the pinnacle of both rankings, she cements her status as a groundbreaking addition to the global superyacht fleet.
Once delivered, REV OCEAN's inaugural voyage is set to take her through the Arctic, following Norway’s rugged coastline before making her way south. The expedition will then continue through the Southern Ocean, with planned stops in the United States and South America.
