To be delivered in 2025, Amels 8001 is a 79.8m (261ft) motor yacht built by Dutch shipyard Amels. The yacht's refined interiors have been crafted by Sinot Yacht Design, while her exteriors have been penned by Espen Oeino.

Design & Construction

Designed around a full displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 12.3m beam and a 3.6m draft. The yacht is built over 4 decks with an internal volume of 2,175 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Construction started in mid-2022. This was the first yacht built on the Amels 80 design. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in September 2023, she is now in the outfitting stage at Amels' Damen Shipyard Galati yard in Romania.

Exterior Design

The exterior design of the Amels 8001 reflects a sophisticated and modern approach to yachting, designed by naval architect Espen Øino. The Sun Deck, covering 200 square meters, offers the largest top deck space in its class. It features a jacuzzi pool surrounded by sun loungers, with forward sliding glass doors that provide wind protection while underway. This space is versatile, catering to both daytime relaxation and evening dining and celebrations.

The foredeck includes a helicopter touch-and-go pad capable of supporting up to 4,000 kg, alongside an additional jacuzzi. The yacht's hybrid propulsion system allows for quiet and efficient cruising, with various modes to optimize performance and power usage. The integration of hybrid technology highlights the yacht's commitment to sustainable and efficient design.

Interior Design

The interior design of the Amels 8001 yacht is inspired by a neutral and natural palette, creating a serene and welcoming atmosphere. The Main Saloon provides a spacious area for relaxation and entertainment. Cinema lounge seating is arranged informally, offering a comfortable setting for socializing or enjoying media.

The yacht features a Beach Lounge, which serves as a versatile space for entertainment. It opens on three sides, enhancing the connection to the surrounding environment. This area includes a surround-sound cinema system, allowing for an immersive viewing experience. The Beach Lounge can be adapted to suit different occasions, with the Sea Terraces opened for an airy feel or closed for a more intimate setting.

Forward from the Beach Lounge, a door leads to a Wellness Spa, which includes a gym, hammam, and sauna. This area is designed to promote relaxation and well-being, with facilities that cater to various fitness and leisure activities.

Accommodation

Amels 8001 offers luxurious accommodation for up to 14 guests, with a total of seven suites. Among these, the standout is the Owners' Suite, located on a dedicated Owners Deck spanning 517 square meters. This private deck ensures exclusivity and comfort for the owner. Additionally, the yacht features six cabins on the Main Deck, each providing panoramic views, enhancing the onboard experience for all guests. The flexible VIP suite/apartment arrangement allows for adaptable living spaces, catering to various guest requirements.

She is also capable of carrying up to 21 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (3516E) 2,816hp engines running at 1600rpm, motor yacht Amels 8001 is capable of reaching a top speed of 16 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots. With her 55,476 gallon fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 5,000 nautical miles at 12 knots.
