To be delivered in 2026, Amels 8002 is a 80m motor yacht built by Dutch shipyard Amels. The yacht's exteriors have been penned by Espen Oeino, while Sinot Yacht Design has designed her interiors.

Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she will feature a 12.3m beam and a 3.6m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 2,175 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This will be the second yacht built on the Amels 80 design. The yacht is designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in August 2024 this yacht is currently being outfitted.  

Exterior Design

The exterior design of the Amels 8002, by Espen Øino, reflects a modern and robust aesthetic that ensures the yacht will maintain its visual appeal for years to come. The design incorporates strong lines that convey a sense of scale and presence without unnecessary embellishment. This approach results in a vessel that remains practical while delivering a significant interior volume of 2,175 gross tonnage.

Optimal performance and efficiency are key features of the Amels 8002's design. The yacht's architecture has been refined to maximize fuel efficiency, minimizing operational costs and emissions. The full displacement hull form includes an optimized long waterline and a refined underwater body, which contribute to reduced underwater noise emissions. This focus on efficiency is complemented by the yacht's capability to cruise at an eco-speed, further enhancing its fuel-saving properties.

The yacht includes features such as a foredeck helicopter landing area and accommodates large tenders up to 11.5 meters, supporting its readiness for different activities at sea. Espen Øino's collaboration with the Dutch yacht builder has produced a vessel that aligns with the practical needs of modern yachting, while maintaining a straightforward and enduring visual appeal.

Interior Design

The Amels 8002 is inspired by the natural world, focusing on simplicity. The yacht boasts several lounges and salons designed for relaxation and socializing. These spaces are open and airy, with large, comfortable seating areas that encourage conversation and interaction. The main salon serves as a central gathering place, offering panoramic views of the ocean through expansive glass panels.

Amenities on board include a fully equipped wellness spa, offering a range of treatments for relaxation and rejuvenation. The spa is designed with minimalistic lines and calming colors, providing a peaceful environment.

The yacht's interior spaces are designed with efficiency in mind, ensuring ease of movement and accessibility. The layout is straightforward, with clear pathways and thoughtfully placed furnishings. This design philosophy extends to the yacht's entertainment and dining areas, which are practical and accommodating, allowing for both intimate dinners and larger gatherings.

Accommodation

The Amels 8002 offers accommodation for up to 14 guests across 7 suites. These include 6 VIP and guest suites situated on the main deck, each providing expansive, framed panoramic views of the ocean. In addition, the yacht features a dedicated 517 square-metre Owners Deck, offering a private and exclusive space for the owners.

She is also capable of carrying up to 21 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Performance & Capabilities

Motor yacht Amels 8002 is capable of reaching a top speed of 16 knots. She has a maximum range of 5,000 nautical miles at 12 knots.
