Design & Construction
Designed around a planing GRP hull and superstructure she features a 24' beam and a 5'3" draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 212 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Launched in June 1992 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months.
Exterior Design
Moonraker is a standout yacht distinguished by its white hull and superstructure, characterized by a forward-leaning dynamic achieved through a sharply-raked pointed bow. This forward-leaning design is further accentuated by the extensive section of the main deck coach roof and the arch that rises from the main deck up to the radar canopy. The raked glazing of the bridge deck adds a sporty aesthetic that complements the yacht's impressive capabilities, as demonstrated by its ability to effortlessly exceed speeds of over 66 knots during sea trials.
The hull of Moonraker showcases only six portholes below the strake, maintaining a sleek and uncluttered appearance. Twin stairways provide access to the bathing platform, and the opening transom door reveals stowage and launching equipment for the yacht's tender.
The glazing section along the main deck and the bridge deck of Moonraker is adorned in a striking pearlescent dark blue, creating a dramatic contrast against the yacht's white hull and superstructure.
Guests can enjoy al fresco dining options on the main deck aft, while the sun deck offers banquette seating along the aft section, providing ample space for relaxation and socializing. Additionally, a jacuzzi adds a touch of luxury and relaxation to the sun deck.
Interior Design
Art Line has meticulously crafted the main interiors of Moonraker using a neutral palette. A plain cream carpet forms the foundation, accentuated by an integrated oval-shaped bold pattern in bronze and black near the marble-topped bar, demonstrating a keen attention to detail that defines the yacht's aesthetic. The bar stools lining the bar provide a stylish contrast to the long banquette seating upholstered in cream leather. Scatter cushions in dark blue and deep toffee hues add depth and warmth to the space. Adding both elegance and functionality, a dolphin coffee table with a beveled glass top serves as a focal point.
The open staircase, featuring an open tread and steel railing, gracefully sweeps throughout the yacht, facilitating easy access between deck levels.
Marine life serves as inspiration for the artwork, notably a glass engraved dark and turquoise mural adorning the curvature of the wall behind a semi-circular leather seating area.
Circles and curves are prominent features within Moonraker's design. The main cabin boasts a large circular bed with a circular mirrored section above, framed within a wooden surround.
Accommodation
Moonraker offers accommodation for up to 8 guests in 4 suites. She is also capable of carrying up to 5 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel MTU (12V 396 TB94) 3,480hp engines running at 2100rpm, motor yacht Moonraker is capable of reaching a top speed of 30 knots, and comfortably cruises at 24 knots. With her 6,900 gallon fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 2,700 nautical miles at 12 knots. Her planing hull design means she is fast and efficient as she slices through the water.
