Key Features

  • Unique bathing platform, integrated stairs design
  • Motorized louvres for adjustable sundeck shading
  • Spacious salon with custom Corian decor
  • Circular dining salon, indoor-outdoor experience

Design & Construction

Designed around a semi-displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 32'10" beam and a 7'8" draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 637 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Exterior Design

The exterior design of Ocean Seven showcases a raked bow, contributing to its sleek and dynamic profile. The deck is crafted from teak, providing durability and a classic maritime aesthetic. The hull is painted a striking blue, which contrasts sharply with the white superstructure. This combination of colors enhances the yacht's visibility and elegance. A distinctive red boot top adds a touch of contrast along the waterline, while the underwater hull is coated in black antifoul paint, offering protection against marine growth and ensuring optimal performance.

The stern design integrates functionality with aesthetic appeal. Wide, shallow stairs descend from either side of the aft deck to the bathing platform. A centrally positioned watertight door on the platform provides direct access to water-sports equipment stored beneath the sunbathing area. This layout also offers a direct route to the galley, crew mess, and engine room, facilitating crew access and provisioning.

Ocean Seven eliminates the traditional side-boarding ladder, favoring access from the integrated bathing platform or passerelle. Stairs can be rigged to a side door in the hull for boarding when the yacht is alongside, providing access to the main deck lobby and the owner's suite.

Interior Design

The interior design of Ocean Seven, crafted by Jon Bannenberg, emphasizes functionality and understated elegance. The primary materials utilized include polished hardwood, granite-gray Corian, Australian cedar, sycamore, and plush wool carpeting. These materials are selected for their durability and aesthetic appeal.

The salon is a focal point of the interior, decorated in pastel colors and featuring a wave-motif inlay of wool carpet. Granite-gray Corian table-tops and custom-designed fabric enhance a calm atmosphere. The room is divided into distinct sections, with a forward seating area that includes a television concealed behind an etched glass panel. This unit can be remotely lowered to reveal the screen, which is capable of receiving satellite TV and programmed message channels.

Architectural tulip-shaped wood and Corian uplighters are a unique feature, providing both illumination and a design statement. The aft part of the salon houses a sizable bar constructed from Corian and armored glass, accompanied by a square well that allows light to filter to the main deck below.

The dining salon is circular in design, with half of its volume extending onto the aft deck. Encased in floor-to-ceiling sliding windows with a stainless steel frame, the space can transform from an air-conditioned indoor area to an open-air dining environment at the touch of a button. The 10-foot diameter dining table has a built-in Lazy Susan and seats 14 guests.

The observation lounge on the upper deck offers a 270-degree viewing arc and features a horseshoe of seating focused on a central plinth with a pop-up television. This space is designed for relaxation and is likely to be a popular spot among guests.

Accommodation

Ocean Seven features six staterooms. Four of these are situated amidships, each with its own adjoining bathroom. Two of these cabins come equipped with twin single beds, while the other two offer queen-sized double beds. The cabins are illuminated by sizable windows and decorated with a blend of pastel colors, featuring oatmeal carpets, pale Corian surfaces, and spearmint leather accents, contrasted by Australian cedar and sycamore.

The VIP stateroom, located forward on the port side, offers slightly more space than the standard guest cabins and is designed to provide an elevated level of comfort.

The master suite, positioned at the bow, is designed to offer the utmost in luxury and privacy. It includes a private lounge adorned with works from Australian artists. The stateroom spans the full beam of the yacht and features a king-sized bed set against an asymmetric aft bulkhead. The suite provides distinct areas for both the lady and gentleman. On the port side, there is a glass-topped breakfast table, a dressing table, a small bar, and a tea-making facility.

A stairway leads down to the lady's dressing room and an extravagantly furnished, marble-lined bathroom with a large spa bath. The starboard side includes a leather-topped writing desk and another stairway leading down to the gentleman’s dressing and shower room.

The master suite also has multiple entrances, including a private door from the main deck corridor and a side door in the hull, providing direct access from the quayside when the yacht is docked.

The lower deck is dedicated entirely to the crew and service areas. Forward of the engine room, there are four large crew cabins, each with ensuite shower rooms and twin beds. The crew quarters also include a spacious galley, cold rooms, laundry facilities, and a crew mess, all of which are considerably larger than those typically found on yachts of this size.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MTU (12V 396 TE 94) 2,443hp engines, motor yacht Ocean Seven is capable of reaching a top speed of 20 knots, and comfortably cruises at 16 knots. With her 26,417 gallon fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 2,994 nautical miles at 16 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.
