Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 11.4m beam and a 3.7m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 1,226 GT (Gross Tonnes).

The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in April 2012 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in January 2013.

Exterior Design

The aft deck offers a versatile space, primarily minimalist in its layout, which is well-suited for hosting larger gatherings. The design here is focused on functionality, providing ample room for guests to mingle during events.

On the upper deck aft, guests can find a skylounge that leads out to an alfresco dining area, complete with a circular table for 12. This space strikes a balance between casual dining and the ability to host formal events, all while being exposed to the open air and sea views.

The bridge deck aft is equipped with a spa pool and sunpads, offering guests a place to relax and enjoy the sunshine. In contrast, the sundeck above provides shaded areas with chaise loungers and deck chairs for those seeking a reprieve from the sun.

Nora's beach club is a notable feature, accessible via exterior stairs or an interior corridor. This proximity to the water creates a natural lounge area, complemented by teak decks and wall paneling that evoke a beach-like ambiance.

Materials, finishes, and textures are harmoniously blended to echo the design themes of the time, ensuring that each space within Nora resonates with a distinctive identity.

Interior Design

The decor onboard Nora draws inspiration from the art deco period, characterized by high-gloss wall panels, cabinetry in diverse wood grains, and a crisp contrast with ivory-hued upholstery. The main salon extends 17 meters in length, where guests can socialize or unwind in an environment that is both inviting and professionally appointed.

The use of various materials such as Canaletto walnut, ebony, leather, and stainless steel is evident throughout the interior, creating a diverse tactile experience that is both visually appealing and practical. The main salon features a dual-purpose rosewood dining table, capable of seating up to 14 guests. This space is further enhanced by a chandelier crafted by Venini, adding a touch of sophistication.

Nora's interior is strategically designed to maximize the use of natural light, with wide, recessed windows that brighten the space during the day and amplify the reflective surfaces. A notable feature within the main salon is a wine cellar, which boasts a capacity of 300 bottles and is discreetly incorporated into the forward bulwark, with access through sliding doors.

The main deck's central lobby is finished with a mirrored ceiling and a Portoro marble floor, accented with white and gold, which continues the yacht's consistent art deco influence. A staircase with floating treads and a handrail wrapped in weaved leather connects the various decks.

The skylounge on the upper deck is segmented into areas that cater to different functions, including socializing and relaxation. Here, the integration of ebony, Canaletto walnut, and golden goatskin parchment panels adds warmth and a more casual ambiance compared to the formal main salon.

Accommodation

Nora has the capacity to accommodate up to 12 guests across eight luxurious cabins.

Nora boasts two master suites, one situated on the main deck forward and another on the upper deck forward, both featuring warm Canaletto walnut and ebony finishes. These suites offer a more intimate ambiance, distinct from the more formal areas of the yacht. The main deck suite features a full-beam layout, complete with a his and hers en suite bathroom finished in Timber Silk stone, and a private seating area partitioned by a tan leather arch. For those desiring a singular expansive space, the two master suites can be combined to create a dual-level penthouse setup.

In addition to the master suites, the upper deck includes a VIP suite, styled in a manner consistent with the master accommodations and offering guests commanding views and a private deck area. The lower deck is home to four guest cabins, two of which are double cabins and two that can be configured as twins or doubles, according to the guests' needs. These staterooms are characterized by high-gloss mahogany and rosewood veneers, complemented by padded ivory leather bedheads, ceilings, and wall sections. Each cabin is equipped with televisions that emerge from the foot of the beds and en suites with glass basins and marble showers, ensuring that every guest experiences the same level of comfort and style.

Attention is also given to the crew members of up to 18 who ensure the smooth operation and impeccable service onboard Nora. Nora has dedicated quarters that ensure the crew's rest and privacy, facilitating their ability to provide the highest level of service to guests.
