Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 25'3" beam and a 8'10" draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 453 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Exterior Design
Originally built in 1982 with subsequent extensions in 1984 and 2001, this 54m (176ft) yacht epitomizes German precision and craftsmanship. Its classic elegance is evident in features such as the high sharp raked bow, elongated foredeck, tall top sides for ample interior space, and a vertical stern.
The strong side profile showcases numerous characteristics, including portholes along the lower deck, prominent strakes, open gunwales, large square glazing sections, and a spacious deck overhang over the main deck aft, creating a sheltered aft deck salon area. Forward-leaning sections within the superstructure add a dynamic aesthetic.
A prominent crane on the upper deck aft emphasizes the yacht's functionality. Despite its luxurious amenities, the yacht maintains a distinct nautical feel, ensuring guests feel at sea rather than in a floating apartment. Prominent deck guard rails topped with teak, mooring furniture, and operational hardware contribute to this ambiance.
Interior Design
The main deck houses a spacious saloon, which is paneled with wood and features a bar area. This space also includes a dining room that can accommodate up to 18 guests across two large tables. Wood paneling and simple, elegant furnishings create an inviting atmosphere.
On the upper deck, the owner's living room is equipped with a desk, armchair, table, sofas, and a bar cupboard. There is also a commodore saloon with a round table and two leather armchairs, providing a comfortable setting for relaxation or informal meetings. The wheelhouse contains practical elements such as a cupboard, chart table, and a revolving leather chair.
Accommodation
The Sanssouci Star offers accommodation for up to 12 guests in seven well-appointed staterooms. The master suite, situated on the upper deck, features a king-size bed, a private living area, and an en-suite bathroom, providing a comfortable and private retreat.
On the main deck, guests can choose from two VIP double cabins, each equipped with private en-suite facilities for added convenience. The lower deck houses two additional double cabins and two twin cabins, all of which also include en-suite bathrooms, ensuring privacy and comfort for all guests.
Crew accommodations for up to 12 are thoughtfully designed, with an engineer’s cabin featuring a single bed and a pullman bed, and two crew cabins each offering upper and lower berths. The crew mess is equipped with a table and a U-shaped settee, providing a communal space for the crew.

Powered by twin diesel MTU (12 V 396) 12-cylinder 1,745hp engines running at 1156rpm, motor yacht Sanssouci Star is capable of reaching a top speed of 15 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots. With her 27,738 gallon fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 8,061 nautical miles.
