Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 12m beam and a 4.5m draft. The yacht is built over 5 decks with an internal volume of 1,945 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Exterior Design

The exterior of the Sherakhan yacht is a modern reimagining of classic 1936 Mediterranean yacht lines. Its transformation involved the replacement of heavy steel with lighter aluminum materials and the elevation of the bow to align with traditional yacht proportions. The canoe stern has been thoughtfully redesigned to incorporate a boarding passerelle and a section that allows for stern-to boarding, enhancing accessibility and functionality.

Sherakhan’s profile is now marked by a combination of natural finishes and a timeless aesthetic.  The sundeck is a standout area, featuring an 18-person spa pool with a glass bottom—a feat achieved through expert design and engineering to manage the significant weight of the installation. This pool doubles as a source of natural light for the saloon below, creating a visually impressive effect both day and night.

The yacht's outdoor spaces are expansive and well-appointed. The main deck aft provides an inviting setting for al fresco dining, accommodating up to 26 guests across three wooden tables. Above, on the upper deck aft, guests can enjoy comfortable seating ideal for casual gatherings or enjoying a beverage. Additional relaxation areas are strategically placed with sun loungers on the foredeck and forward of the bridge, offering guests a variety of choices for outdoor leisure.

Sherakhan's crowning structural feature, the "crow's nest" observation lounge, is situated approximately 20 meters above the waterline, ensuring panoramic views sheltered from the elements. This unique vantage point underscores the yacht’s thoughtful design, which is as much about the experience of the sea as it is about the craftsmanship of the vessel itself.

Sherakhan combines classic 1936 yacht lines with modern materials, featuring a distinctive sundeck with an 18-person spa pool and expansive social areas, accommodating 26 guests in luxurious comfort.

Interior Design

The interior design of Sherakhan is a harmonious blend of natural tones and finishes, accentuated by an array of striking artwork. The main saloon stands as the focal point of the yacht's interior, characterized by its spaciousness with dimensions of 20 meters in length and 9 meters in width, further amplified by a double-height ceiling that extends upwards to 7 meters. This ceiling is highlighted by the opaque glass bottom of the spa pool above, allowing natural light to permeate the space during the day and the spa's underwater lights to create a subtle ambiance at night.

The saloon's design features a Greek butterscotch-hued marble floor trimmed with varnished teak, surrounded by an off-white deep-pile carpet that provides a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The 7.5-meter curved dining table, crafted with inlaid wenge, white ash, and teak, follows the shape of the gallery above and is illuminated by sculptural Italian lights. Two open-tread staircases made of glass and steel lead up to the minstrel’s gallery, offering an elevated view of the saloon.

Adjacent to the saloon is a lounging area with asymmetrical seating arrangements, a large television, and a fireplace, complemented by a white baby grand piano near the bar. The dancefloor adds a recreational touch for guests. Above, the gallery serves as a serene location for quiet contemplation or pre-dinner cocktails.

The lower deck houses the library, styled as a traditional gentlemen’s club, and a beauty salon staffed with certified personnel. The Spa de la Sirene, also located on the lower deck, comprises a sauna and central spa pool adorned with metallic mosaic tiles depicting a mermaid. A gym with faux backlit portholes and colored lights ensures a soothing atmosphere for exercise and relaxation.

Throughout the yacht, updates in technical systems and interior design have been implemented, reflecting a contemporary palette of whites and off-whites, complemented by refined textures. The audio-visual entertainment, internet, and communications systems have been updated to cater to modern requirements.

Accommodation

Sherakhan facilitates lodging for 26 guests within its 13 cabins, which are distributed across three decks, providing both privacy and easy access to shared spaces.

The vessel's master suite, measuring an impressive 50 square meters, is strategically placed at the front of the yacht to ensure unrivaled views. This suite includes a spacious lounge, separate his and hers bathrooms, and a study area that can be converted into an additional cabin, offering flexibility based on guest requirements. Additionally, the master suite boasts a private terrace, elevating the personal space of the occupants.

Complementing the master suite are 10 other staterooms, which are named after celebrated authors, each uniquely decorated, and providing ample space for lounging in solitude. Four staterooms are situated on the main deck with six additional cabins on the lower deck. The staterooms are equipped with king-sized beds, with the option of twin beds in certain rooms, and two cabins offer a connected double-bunked room for children, reflecting the yacht's family-friendly design.

The cabins are designed to accommodate various configurations, including the creation of luxurious suites or family/children's cabins through interconnecting doors, offering versatility for different group dynamics. This thoughtful design ensures that all guests experience a level of comfort and personal space that is in keeping with the yacht's high standards.

Sherakhan is also capable of carrying up to 19 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
