Design & Construction

Designed around a steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 13.5m beam and a 4.3m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 2,219 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Construction started in late 2000 with the keel laid under the project name 'Triton'. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards.

Exterior Design

The exterior design of Tueq focuses on maximizing interior space, resulting in a beamy hull and four complete accommodation decks, plus a sun deck and a storage deck. The sun deck, primarily shaded, offers seating areas, tables, and a bar. The central area holds the lift's top station and powder rooms, while the aft section is designated for tender storage. The sun deck is not fully exposed, providing a mix of sun and shade.

Tenders and jet-skis are stored on the sun deck and launched using cranes. The space right aft on the lower deck is allocated for staterooms and staff mess decks, with additional sports equipment stored in the lazarette adjacent to the combined boarding and bathing platform at the stern. Forward of the engine room, the lower deck is dedicated to crew and technical spaces, ensuring effective operation and management of the yacht.

Both the hull and superstructure are finished in a pristine white color, creating a uniform and clean appearance. The boot top, the area just above the waterline, is painted black, offering a striking contrast. Below the waterline, the hull is also black, ensuring a cohesive look even when the yacht is docked.

Interior Design

The interior design of Tueq prioritizes functionality and comfort, employing high-quality materials and thoughtful layout. The dominant timber used throughout is limed oak, featured in raised paneling, pillars, window frames, and tables. Carpets are a pale beige, often outlined with a rope border, a detail mirrored in carved timber to define the dado and architrave. Above the dado level, walls are primarily covered with Novasuede, providing a contrastingly softer look against the oak paneling.

Each stateroom is decorated with at least one original painting, typically landscapes of mainland Greece and the Greek islands, and several areas feature large murals with classical themes. Color themes in the guest staterooms vary, with individual soft furnishings and bathroom materials, including marble and Corian. Colored leather details around the beds and Roman blinds in various materials further emphasize individuality.

The main saloon on the main deck is designed to accommodate at least 20 people. It is furnished with comfortable armchairs and settees grouped around a central table. The saloon’s layout includes a quiet corner for guests to play cards or read. Forward of the main saloon is the main lobby, which spans the full width of the superstructure. The lift and stairs, designed with a bronze lacquer finish, blend into the dignified wood paneling, creating a floating appearance.

The upper deck houses the owner's saloon, similar in styling to the main saloon but featuring checked upholstery. The owner's saloon connects to a private deck area aft, enhancing privacy and comfort. The observation lounge, positioned forward of the master suite, offers unobstructed views over the bows through large windows.

The dining room, located on the bridge deck, can seat 28 people around three tables. Sliding glass doors open onto the deck, providing additional seating for 24 diners at three outdoor tables when weather permits. A passenger lift, encased in a broad stairway, offers access to all five decks, while an additional service lift transports food from the main galley on the lower deck to a well-equipped pantry forward of the lobby.

Accommodation

Tueq offers accommodation for 30 guests across its four complete decks. The upper deck is entirely dedicated to the owner's private accommodations, offering an exclusive retreat with a comfortable saloon and a private deck area aft. The owner's suite features two spacious and elegantly designed staterooms, each accessible via a central corridor with curved and fluted oak doors.

These staterooms, though identical in size and shape, offer distinct styles and coloring. Both staterooms have beds that face a curve of windows, providing unobstructed views towards the bow. One stateroom has a green glass screen with sculptured waves, while the other features a mural painting of an undersea scene. Both staterooms come with a large walk-through dressing area and a marble-trimmed bathroom. Additionally, the two master suite bedrooms converge at a forward observation lounge with panoramic views over the bow.

On the main deck, the forward section is dedicated to guest accommodations, featuring eight double or twin staterooms. Each of these staterooms is uniquely designed with individual color themes, soft furnishings, and varied materials for the bathrooms, ensuring a personalized and distinctive stay for every guest. The lower deck houses an additional four double guest staterooms.

The lower deck forward of the engine room is designated for crew and technical spaces. It includes nine crew cabins, each with its own shower room, arranged along a central corridor. Accommodating a total of 21 crew members, the crew quarters also feature a mess area with three tables to cater to different group sizes. The captain and two senior officers have their cabins located abaft the bridge. Below the crew mess and galley, a sub-deck houses a fully equipped laundry and extensive freezer and store rooms to manage the daily requirements of a fully staffed yacht.
