Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement steel hull and a GRP superstructure she features a 22' beam and a 6'3" draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 135 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the first yacht built on the 92 DS design. Launched in August 2023 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months.
Exterior Design
Waterlily, built by Mazu Yachts, presents a bold and distinctive profile. The vertical bow not only adds a striking visual element but also lengthens the waterline, enhancing the yacht's performance.
The yacht's two-tone paintwork introduces a fresh aesthetic that sets it apart on the water. Large windows are a prominent feature of the hull design, providing ample natural light to the interiors and maintaining the brand's characteristic edgy design language.
The stern of Waterlily boasts a sizable platform, which is impressive for a yacht of this size. The integrated side bulwarks can be folded down to transform the area into a beach club, providing direct access to the sea. This space is also engineered to accommodate a tender up to seven meters long and various water toys, thanks to its two-ton capacity transformer.
Access to the main deck is via steps on either side, leading to an alfresco dining area shielded from the elements by the deck overhang. A staircase from this area ascends to the sundeck, a versatile space with an overhead skylight. The sundeck is furnished with freestanding pieces that can be customized to owner preferences, featuring a bar, refrigerator, and an array of sun loungers.
At the bow, a cozy bench seat is situated before the wheelhouse, offering a secluded spot for relaxation and enjoying the view ahead.
Interior Design
The interior of Waterlily is characterized by a light and airy ambience, designed to evoke the laid-back atmosphere of a summer house. The main saloon is bathed in natural light thanks to full-height windows and features a backlit wall that enhances the sense of brightness within the space. Stairs with glass risers add a transparent and weightless quality, contributing to the open feel of the area.
Materials throughout the interior are chosen for their light tones and relaxed appearance. Oak veneers and parquet flooring provide a natural, understated elegance, while the light-colored upholstery is accented with discreet pops of color, offering visual interest without overwhelming the senses. This approach ensures that the environment remains comfortable and inviting, encouraging guests to feel at ease.
The dining area within the main saloon is integrated seamlessly into the overall design, providing a sociable space for guests to gather and enjoy meals. The furniture is not fixed, allowing for a flexible arrangement that can be customized to suit the preferences of those on board.
The galley is well-equipped and designed for practical use, with access to the port side deck facilitating efficient service and movement of crew. Positioned at the foot of the stairs leading to the pilot house, the galley serves as a central point from which the crew can manage both guest service and navigation duties.
The helm, situated in the raised pilot house, is configured for optimal operational efficiency. The forward positioning of the pilot house ensures maximum interior volume and creates a commanding view for navigation. The design of the helm is focused on the practical requirements of operating the vessel, with all necessary instruments and controls within easy reach of the captain.
Accommodation
Water Lily provides lodging for up to eight guests across four well-appointed cabins. The layout includes a full-beam owner's suite, a VIP suite, and two additional twin cabins, all featuring en-suite facilities.
The owner's suite, positioned on the main deck for optimal privacy and views, is a sanctuary with ample space, including a dedicated bathroom and a walk-in closet. The suite's placement also allows for natural light to flood the interior, creating a pleasant and inviting atmosphere for the owner.
Below deck, guests are accommodated in the VIP suite and the two twin cabins, all benefiting from the yacht's generous 6.7-meter beam. The spatial design ensures that each cabin offers both comfort and privacy, paired with the necessary amenities for a serene stay on the water.
Crew accommodation is also well considered, with Water Lily offering quarters for up to four crew members. This includes two cabins with a shared bathroom, located in the bow. The design incorporates independent service stairs, allowing the crew discreet movement throughout the yacht, thus maintaining guest privacy.
Performance & Capabilities
Waterlily is propelled by a trio of Volvo Penta IPS 1050 drives. Each of these diesel engines generates 800 horsepower, producing a combined force that allows the yacht to reach a peak speed of 18 knots. For extended voyages, Waterlily can cruise comfortably at a speed of 13 knots.
The cruising range of Waterlily is a notable feature, offering approximately 1,170 nautical miles. This range is achievable thanks to the yacht's fuel capacity of around 10,000 liters, allowing for extensive voyages without the frequent need for refueling stops.
Ensuring comfort on the Waterlily, whether at anchor or while cruising, is a pair of Humphrey stabilizer fins. These fins play a crucial role in reducing the motion of the yacht, thus enhancing the onboard experience for guests by minimizing the impact of the sea's movements.
In addition to its mechanical prowess, Waterlily is equipped with a 170 kilowatt lithium-ion battery pack. This installation serves to decrease generator usage, thereby reducing noise and operation hours. The benefit is particularly noticeable when the yacht is at anchor or during nighttime conditions, ensuring a more serene environment for those on board.
Amenities
Ensuring everyone on board can enjoy the water to the fullest, luxury yacht Waterlily offers a large beach club connected to a swim platform, with plenty of space for lounging and soaking up the sea views. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort.
