At Hatteras, we believe there's no reason on earth (or water) why a Hatteras 43C should be one inch less fish-fighter than the largest sport-fishing machines we build. Or give you an ounce less comfort or luxury touches than our world-class cruisers.

To show you just how serious we are about raising the adrenaline to tournament level, the 43 Convertible's large-boat Hatteras innovations include a first in its class: cockpit access to the engine room.

From flybridge down, the fresh ideas are everywhere. A specially formed wraparound windshield deflects the wind without encumbering the styling. Comfortable seating, with storage below, both port side and forward. The helm is designed for visibility, with a new console that accommodates today's elaborate electronic packages.

The cockpit will give any fish nightmares. It's 120 square feet! A tournament-class transom door with lift-up coaming gate is standard. So is the removable fishbox, flush in the deck. So is the molded-in bait and tackle center that features a sink and faucet, storage tub, and tackle drawers. So is the fresh-water washdown!

The Hatteras 43 Convertible is battle-ready and just waiting to go to work. And when the work is done, a joy to come home to, just inside the door.

Standard furnishings include an L-shaped lounge and an attractive hi-lo table. An icemaker is tucked into the starboard bulkhead; a serving counter built out from the port side opens to the galley.

The master stateroom makes a masterful statement. Run your hand along the soft surfaces and feel the patina of the fine wood cabinetry.
