Marex Boats History & Heritage
Founded in 1973 by Eyvin Aalrud in Grimstad, Norway, the original Marex yard underwent a transformative shift when, in 1989, Eyvin's sons Thomas and Espen assumed ownership.
Under their leadership, Marex evolved into one of the most esteemed names in the industry, earning recognition for its commitment to quality and innovation. Until 2016, Marex boasted a diverse range of 29 different models. However, it was the introduction of the 370 Aft Cabin in 2016 that catapulted the brand to broader acclaim.
Since then, Marex has directed its focus towards crafting practical, intelligent, and well-built mid-size sportscruisers with a premium edge. Presently, production occurs at a sprawling 18,400 square-meter facility in Kaunas, Lithuania, where Marex employs over 350 skilled professionals.
