Ocean Alexander Yachts History & Heritage
Established in 1977 by Alex Chueh in Taiwan, Ocean Alexander has been synonymous with solid engineering and a commitment to serious cruising yachts.
Initially adopting trawler-style designs, the brand later transitioned into cleaner and more contemporary styles. Within its first decade, Ocean Alexander experienced significant growth, doubling the size of its production facilities and gaining prominence in the yacht industry, particularly in the United States.
By 2004, Ocean Alexander had evolved into a modern yacht builder, incorporating the latest vacuum infusion technology in its GRP construction. This era saw the introduction of the first 30m (100ft) Ocean Alexander yacht, marking the beginning of a series of larger yacht models.
In recent years, the brand's success in the United States led to the establishment of a production facility in Florida, where the first all-American yachts were manufactured in 2015.
