On Deck

On the deck, there is a sunbathing area, large windscreens, and a hatch over the forward cabin. The boat also features a tender garage, something considered to be a nice feature, as it allows for the storage of a small rib or similar tender.

Nick takes a liking to the cockpit area with its glass sides, solid roof with glass panels, and ample seating around the table. He notes the presence of a barbecue, sink, fridge, and storage area in the cockpit. He also points out the clever placement of the life raft storage at the back.

The helm position features a joystick for control and a dashboard that is praised for its smart color scheme and Raymarine Axiom multi-function display.

Inside, there are light wood finishes and the large hull windows, a rare feature for boats from 2008. He points out the switch panel for controlling all the boat's systems and the discreet galley area, complete with drawers, sink, electric hob, fridge, and even a dishwasher. 

The Absolute 47 features two spacious cabins, with the master cabin at the front and a surprisingly large cabin at the back. The latter being particularly impressive, as it is larger than what one would typically find on a boat of this size and type.

In the engine compartment, there is a Seakeeper stabilizer and a pair of Volvo Penta IPS-600s, each with 435 horsepower. It is estimated that the boat could reach speeds of over 30 knots and cover a range of around 250 miles at high speeds.

The yacht is equipped with IPS drives, a feature that makes the boat incredibly maneuverable. The joystick controlled pod drives can swivel independently of each other, allowing the boat to move sideways or spin in any direction, thus making docking an easy task. The IPS drives also contribute to the accommodation of the boat by placing the engines well back, thereby providing ample space for living areas.

Throughout the video, Nick consistently praises the Absolute 47 for its well-proportioned spaces and innovative design features.
