PBIBS 2025: U.S Debut of 58m Tankoa T580 Superyacht Diamond Binta

Tankoa Yachts is set to introduce their latest creation, the 58m superyacht Diamond Binta, to the U.S. market at the 2025 Palm Beach International Boat Show (PBIBS).

Signed in 2021 and delivered in the summer of 2024, Diamond Binta made her world debut at the Monaco Yacht Show, where she received widespread acclaim for her craftsmanship and tailored design.

As the first Tankoa T580 and built for an experienced owner who previously commissioned the 50-metre S501 Binta d’Or, Diamond Binta was envisioned as a larger, long-range cruiser with a distinctive style that reflects the owner’s personality and needs.

Bespoke Design and Collaborative Vision

To bring the owner’s vision to life, Tankoa partnered once again with Francesco Paszkowski Design, with interiors by Margherita Casprini. Their goal was to create a yacht with a timeless, understated aesthetic that combines elegant design with functionality. The collaboration between the shipyard, owner, and design team was crucial, ensuring that every detail aligned with the owner’s evolving tastes and aspirations.

Tankoa’s expertise and state-of-the-art facilities enabled a seamless transition from design approval to realisation. Vincenzo Poerio, CEO of Tankoa Yachts, remarked, “Diamond Binta, our first 58-metre T580 yacht, perfectly demonstrates why discerning owners choose to build with us and remain within the Tankoa family when their needs evolve. Her refined yet innovative design reflects our commitment to exceptional craftsmanship and personalised yacht building.”

Notable Features and Interior Highlights

Diamond Binta integrates key features found on modern superyachts but adds unique twists to elevate them. The expansive beach club at the stern includes a lounge area, a treatment room with a glass wall that floods the space with natural light, and fold-down terraces that open the area further. A skylight from the main deck also enhances the natural illumination of this space.

One of the standout engineering features is a lower deck guest corridor running on the centerline between the beach club and guest accommodation. With large panoramic windows into the meticulously designed engine room, it offers an unusual and immersive view of the yacht’s engineering.

The main deck master suite features a full-beam layout, a private lounge, a study area, and a drop-down terrace for direct connection with the sea. The yacht accommodates up to 12 guests across five additional guest cabins, including two with Pullman beds for added flexibility.

Aesthetic and Material Choices

The yacht’s interiors showcase an extensive use of oak in multiple finishes, from striped and glossy to brushed and dark brown with a distinctive ‘tatami’ texture for the flooring. The neutral colour palette, ranging from dove grey to deeper shades, creates a seamless and sophisticated atmosphere. The décor is further enhanced by the use of high-quality materials such as leather, metal, and glass

Decorative elements include satin metal profiles on the walls of the living areas, custom-designed leather paneling, and tactile details such as hard leather bed bases and headboards. A variety of marbles—Cappuccino, Calacatta, Botticino, and Fior di Bosco—add luxurious touches to the yacht’s key spaces, including bathrooms, dining areas, and lobby surfaces.

Advanced Onboard Amenities

The yacht’s fly deck features a custom-built pool with spa jets, developed in-house by Tankoa, along with a generous lounging and alfresco dining area. A central enclosed gym with floor-to-ceiling glass doors allows guests to enjoy the views while working out. These doors can be opened to create an open-air space or closed for a climate-controlled environment. The deck also includes a bar and twin round sunbeds for relaxation.

Diamond Binta also features a range of onboard amenities designed for both entertainment and practicality. The panoramic top-deck gym provides breathtaking views, while the forward upper deck helipad enhances the yacht’s travel capabilities. A large tender garage accommodates a 9-metre limo tender, ensuring guests can arrive in style.
