At the prestigious International Superyacht Society (ISS) Design & Leadership Awards Gala 2024, held during the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show, Tankoa’s S501 superyacht JIMMY (formerly known as GREY), emerged victorious in the Best in Motor <500GT category.
Measuring 50m in length and spread across three decks, the motor yacht JIMMY boasts an internal volume of 499 GT. Construction of the fourth Tankoa S501 model (but the first S501 EVO) commenced in late 2020, with the superyacht launched in October 2022 for comprehensive sea trials, ahead of its delivery in May 2023.
The yacht JIMMY’s expansive aft deck is a testament to luxury and versatility, providing an idyllic space for both informal lounging and formal gatherings beneath the sky. Powered by twin diesel MAN (D2862LE) 12-cylinder 1,399hp engines, JIMMY reaches a top speed of 17 knots and cruises comfortably at 16 knots. With a fuel capacity of 15,137 gallons, she boasts a maximum range of 4,000 nautical miles at 11 knots. Additionally, her semi-displacement hull design achieves an ideal balance between space and speed.
