Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 10m beam and a 3.5m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 1,013 GT (Gross Tonnes). The design also incorporates a heli-pad.
Construction started in mid 2021. This was the first yacht built on the T580 design. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in June 2024 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months.
Exterior Design
Diamond Binta features a forward helideck, designed for easy access and usability. At the aft, the spacious beach club includes fold-out terraces, allowing for an extended relaxation area close to the water. This area is also equipped with a wellness spa, complete with a massage room, providing a dedicated space for on-board relaxation.
Storage space on Diamond Binta is well-planned. The aft garage can accommodate two tenders, including a nine-meter limo tender, ready for excursions or shuttling guests to shore.
The sun deck is equipped with numerous sunbeds and a bimini for shade, offering a comfortable area for relaxation. It includes a gym area and a bar, which are practical additions for guests looking to maintain their fitness routine or enjoy refreshments while taking in the view. The sun deck also houses a hot tub, adding to the leisure options available onboard.
Interior Design
The interior design of Diamond Binta, by Francesco Paszkowski Design in collaboration with Margherita Casprini, incorporates a neutral color palette, primarily featuring shades of dove grey transitioning to deeper tones. Oak is extensively used throughout in various finishes, including striped, glossy, brushed, and dark brown with a distinctive ‘tatami’ texture for the flooring.
The use of high-quality materials, such as leather, metal, and glass, enriches the décor. Thin satin metal profiles accentuate the walls of the living areas, and the owner’s desk is finished with light cream leather. Decorated leather panels in wet sand tones enhance the lobby walls, while hard leather is used for custom-designed bedheads and bases.
Marble surfaces are strategically placed to add a sense of luxury. Cappuccino marble is used for the coffee table tops on the main deck, Calacatta marble features in the lobby, Botticino marble is laid in the dining area floors, and Fior di Bosco marble highlights the bathrooms. Smoked glass is utilized in the bathroom doors for the VIP suites and the owner’s dressing room, offering a sleek, modern aesthetic.
Custom-designed furniture is a hallmark of the yacht's interior. Coffee tables in the living spaces, the owner’s suite, and the beach club lounge, as well as the owner’s office desk and galley counter, are all bespoke creations. These pieces are complemented by high-end furniture from renowned brands like Minotti and Poltrona Frau, which furnish the main and upper deck living areas and the owner’s suite. The galley serves both as a functional space and a guest area, equipped for cooking enthusiasts.
The design departs from traditional yacht interiors by favoring smooth, rounded lines over geometric shapes. This approach creates a softer, more organic aesthetic. Functional elements, such as coffee tables, feature unconventional, playful forms. Low furniture with beveled corners is accented by black-varnished oak slats, while light grey oak walls in the owner’s office curve to form stage-like partitions that subtly define the spaces. Round-shaped sofas and chairs are complemented by circular carpets beneath them.
Ceilings are a notable design element, featuring lacquered pearl grey and grey-brown panels. Integrated LED strips run along irregular, curved beams around the ceiling perimeters, highlighting key areas like the living spaces on the main and upper decks. This thoughtful lighting design accentuates the round-shaped sofas and the cozy conversation area in the owner’s suite.
Adjacent to the main salon is a formal dining area, which caters to up to twelve guests. The dining space is equipped with a large table and ergonomic chairs, ensuring a comfortable dining experience. Practical lighting fixtures and straightforward decor enhance the functionality of this area.
A notable feature is the wellness spa, located just off the beach club. This area includes a massage room, providing a designated space for relaxation and rejuvenation. The design here focuses on simplicity and comfort, with soft lighting and soothing colors.
There's a well-appointed galley, featuring cold storage and a central bar area. Moving to the upper deck, there is a sky lounge/cinema room that provides a versatile space for relaxation and entertainment. Adjacent to this, the pantry area offers convenient access for the crew with a dumbwaiter.
Accommodation
Diamond Binta is designed to accommodate up to twelve guests in luxurious comfort. The yacht features a master stateroom and five guest suites, ensuring ample space and privacy for all onboard. A unique feature of the lower deck cabins is the panoramic corridor. This corridor connects the guest suites directly to the beach area and passes through a viewable engine room, adding an interesting element to the guest experience.
The main deck owner's suite includes a spacious lounge area, a walk-in wardrobe, and an ensuite bathroom equipped with a large rainfall shower. This suite includes a starboard side lounge and a study area that opens up to a drop-down owner terrace, providing a private retreat with exquisite design details.
On the lower deck, the yacht accommodates guests across several cabins. These include larger double cabins, each with its own ensuite bathroom featuring separate shower and toilet facilities. Additionally, there are cabins equipped with Pullman berths, allowing flexibility in guest arrangements. These guest cabins are designed to ensure a comfortable stay, with ample storage and well-appointed furnishings.
The yacht supports a crew of up to 12 members, with dedicated crew cabins and routing that facilitate smooth operation throughout the vessel. The captain's cabin, located near the bridge, matches the guest cabin standards, complete with an ensuite bathroom.
