SP1 is an award winning 49.9m motor yacht delivered by Italian shipyard Tankoa Yachts in 2019. Her interior design and exterior styling comes from the drawing boards of Francesco Paszkowski Design, while Tankoa Yachts is responsible for her naval architecture.

Design & Construction

Designed around a semi-displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 9.45m beam and a 2.21m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 499 GT (Gross Tonnes). The design also incorporates a touch and go heli-pad.

This was the second yacht built in the series. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in May 2019 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in June 2019.

Exterior Design

The exterior design of the SP1 yacht exhibits contemporary lines and a streamlined appearance. Despite its length of 164 feet, SP1 maintains an elegant profile without appearing overly tall or bulky. The hull and superstructure are painted in a clean, white finish, which is complemented by black accents on the boot top and below the waterline.

The bow area includes practical elements such as polished chrome anchoring mechanisms and a crane for emergency tenders or jet skis. Additionally, the bow features a Touch Go helipad, which can also serve as an outdoor space if not used for landing a helicopter.

Glass railings are used throughout the yacht to ensure unobstructed views of the water. Adjustable awnings with carbon fiber poles provide shade when needed. The upper deck includes various outdoor seating areas, a dining area that seats 12 people, and a bar setup with an outdoor grill and sink.

Interior Design

The main salon stands out with its hardwood floors and mirrored ceilings. The seating area is equipped with a plush carpet and minimalist seating arrangements centered around an L-shaped marble table. The ceilings are clad with Alcantara, a type of suede commonly used in high-end automobiles.

In terms of lighting, the salon features recessed lights and built-in speakers, enhancing the overall ambiance. The windows have curved edges and are recessed, providing a sense of spaciousness. Automatic shades and curtains offer privacy and control over natural light. The dining area adjacent to the main salon includes a glass table that can accommodate up to ten people. The space is further accentuated by mirrored ceiling details and a louver-designed feature wall with integrated LED lighting.

Moving to the galley, it is designed with functionality in mind, resembling a modern home kitchen more than a traditional yacht galley. It includes an induction cooktop, ice makers, a sink, a dishwasher, and a large central island. This setup is ideal for both casual and formal dining experiences. The galley is strategically located with access to the crew quarters, ensuring smooth service operations.

The wheelhouse, or helm, is equipped with advanced navigation and control systems. It features carbon fiber countertops and multiple screens for monitoring the vessel's operations. This area is designed for optimal functionality, allowing the crew to manage the yacht efficiently.

On the upper deck, the lounge area mirrors the design elements of the main salon. It includes comfortable seating, marble coffee tables, and large windows with automatic shades. A small bar setup and additional wet bar with a sink, ice maker, and coffee machine provide convenience for guests. The dumbwaiter from the galley extends to this level, facilitating easy service.

Accommodation

SP1 offers accommodation for up to 12 guests, SP1 features five well-appointed cabins, including a master suite and four guest cabins.

The master suite, located on the main deck, provides a serene escape for the owner. It includes a king-size bed, a private balcony that can be accessed at the push of a button, and an en-suite bathroom featuring double vanities, a walk-in shower, and a separate water closet with a bidet. The suite also boasts ample storage with a walk-in closet and luxurious finishes such as marble details and Alcantara-clad ceilings.

On the lower deck, the yacht houses four guest cabins, consisting of two twin rooms and two VIP rooms. Each twin room is designed with two single beds and an additional bunk bed, accommodating up to three guests per room. These cabins include en-suite bathrooms with marble flooring, double vanities, and spacious showers.

The two VIP cabins offer more space with king-size beds and similar high-end finishes. They feature en-suite bathrooms equipped with double vanities, natural stone countertops, and rain showers.

She is also capable of carrying up to 9 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience. The crew quarters are strategically positioned to ensure privacy for guests while providing easy access for the crew. Hidden doors throughout the yacht lead to the crew hallways and quarters, facilitating seamless service without intruding on guest spaces. The main level galley also offers access to the crew quarters.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MTU (8V 4000 M54) 1,000hp engines running at 1800rpm, motor yacht SP1 is capable of reaching a top speed of 18 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots. With her 57,330 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,500 nautical miles at 12 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.

Amenities

The yacht features a well-equipped gym, allowing her guests to keep up their fitness regimes at sea. In addition, adjoining the water, a beach club lets those on board enjoy the feeling of being close to the sea. SP1 also features deck jacuzzi which provides excellent views.
