Building on the proven platform of the 49.9-metre motor yacht Rilassata, launched in 2024 as the sixth hull in the S501 line, the Tankoa S520 is a bold reinvention designed to meet the growing expectations of discerning superyacht owners.
Designed once again by Francesco Paszkowski, the S520 retains the “winning proportions” and sporty DNA of its predecessor but delivers them in a longer, more imposing form, finished in a striking gun-metal grey. A standout feature of the new model is its innovative aft configuration, where the main deck, beach club, and aft platform are interconnected in a fluid, multi-level layout.

The beach club itself is split across levels, with expansive sunbathing areas and a generous use of glazing. Two side-opening platforms and multiple portholes — including one facing the aft infinity pool — allow light to flood into the space, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor atmosphere.
The additional length of the S520 allows for significantly enhanced exterior spaces, including a larger sundeck with an infinity pool, an expanded upper deck skylounge, and an extended flybridge. Functionality has also been prioritized, with features such as an integrated bow tender crane, a gangway concealed within the aft platform, and reconfigured staircases moved to the port side. This change frees up the upper deck for use as a dedicated entertainment zone, while the forward section of the upper deck is now fully reserved for toy storage.

Interior design is a collaboration between Paszkowski and long-time design partner Margherita Casprini, who also teamed up on the 58-metre custom Diamond Binta . Inside, the S520 benefits from higher ceilings and larger windows compared to the S501, producing brighter and more open living spaces. The interior colour scheme mirrors the exterior’s modern grey palette, continuing the yacht’s bold yet elegant character throughout. The owner’s suite is particularly generous, complete with a private lounge, study, walk-in wardrobe, and vanity area.

Tankoa made a strong showing at this year’s Palm Beach show, not only unveiling the S520 but also celebrating the world premiere of the 45-metre motor yacht GO and the US debut of Diamond Binta , following her appearance at the 2024 Monaco Yacht Show.
According to YachtBuyer MarketWatch, Tankoa has delivered 10 superyachts since 2015, ranging up to 72 metres in length and averaging 745GT. The yard currently has nine superyachts in its order book, a sign of sustained demand and growing recognition for the boutique Italian brand.
