VISIONF’s 24m 11m beam E-Cat 80 marks a major move toward sustainable yachting. The first unit, Atraversia, has been delivered and is preparing to cruise the Adriatic Sea.
Built at the company’s shipyard in Tuzla, Istanbul, the E-Cat 80 is crafted from lightweight carbon fibre and features exterior lines by Marco Casali (TOO Design). The model promises a clean, futuristic approach to yachting, with an emphasis on efficiency, comfort, and minimal environmental impact.
Minimalism Meets the Open Water
The E-Cat 80 is designed to serve as a private "villa on the sea," offering expansive living spaces for up to 14 guests. Interiors on the first unit, Atraversia, showcase a calm, understated style.
A neutral palette of brown, grey, and white tones is paired with vinyl wood accents and marble surfaces, creating a sophisticated, restful atmosphere. Natural light floods the interior of the catamaran, enhancing the yacht’s serene feel.
Below deck, the yacht can accommodate between four and seven guest cabins depending on the owner's preferences, while the crew quarters include space for four, a dedicated crew mess, and a private ensuite cabin for the captain.
As a semi-custom builder, VISIONF allows owners to tailor layouts and design details to their specific tastes and needs, whether prioritising private cruising or luxury charter operation.
Flexible Fun Onboard
Entertainment and relaxation are core to the E-Cat 80’s design. The open flybridge features four seating areas and can be equipped with a jacuzzi, outdoor cinema, massage seats, large sunpads, and more.
Each E-Cat 80 can be adapted to suit the owner’s lifestyle, with options for an open or enclosed flybridge and variations in how indoor and outdoor spaces are balanced.
Built for Adventure
The E-Cat 80 also boasts a 15-square-metre tender garage, complete with a hydraulic stern hatch, electric winch, and tender lashing system. The tenderlift has space for a second tender or two jet skis, giving owners and guests easy access to fun on the water.
Twin 180 kW Danfoss motors, combined with bow and stern thrusters, deliver smooth, agile performance with a cruising speed of 6-8 knots. Sustainability is central to the design. Fifty-four solar panels across the yacht feed a powerful battery system, generating up to 21.6 kW per hour. Under optimal conditions, this allows for unlimited cruising range without external power.
For longer journeys or when higher speeds are needed, twin 150 kW generators supported by a 5-tonne fuel tank provide a backup range of over 1,000 nautical miles.
Looking Ahead
Following the successful delivery of the first E-Cat 80, the next hull is expected to launch this summer. Alongside the E-Cat series, VISIONF Yachts is expanding its fleet with seven models currently in production, including the E-Cat 62 and 80, aluminium 80, 82, 101, and 120 models, and the Superfast 46.
As the appetite for sustainable luxury continues to grow, the E-Cat 80 sets a strong foundation for VISIONF’s future in the electric yacht market.
