On Deck

Located at the stern, the hi-lo platform is designed for tender storage and includes a ladder for water access. The aft deck features a large horseshoe seating arrangement around a table, which can be converted into a sunbathing area with in-fill cushions. Additional seating faces this area, and storage is available underneath. A retractable bimini provides shade at the rear seating area.

The sundeck area at the bow is flat and spacious, perfect for sunbathing and relaxing. The flush deck look with optional safety rails adds to the yacht's sleek and modern aesthetic. The bow area is designed with a vertical bow and a recessed anchor, enhancing its contemporary design.

Interior

The GT52 offers two layouts – galley down and galley up. The model reviewed had the galley down, providing more space for cooking and storage. The galley includes a fridge, sink, microwave, and ample storage.

The saloon features seating on both sides, creating a sociable environment. A TV is integrated and can rise out from cabinetry, and the height-adjustable table can convert the seating arrangement into an L-shape. The forward-sloping windscreen and large opening sunroof enhance light and airflow. Blinds and bug screens offer privacy and protection.

The interior is described as light and contemporary, with a beach house vibe. Nick appreciates the use of wood in the ceiling, adding to the yacht's modern yet cozy feel.

The helm currently has one screen, but there is space for a second. The screen manages climate control, lighting, navigation, and engine instrumentation. The helm includes a bow thruster, anchor controls, joystick for IPS (Inboard Performance System), and a fusion stereo. Hard buttons for lighting and wipers are conveniently located for ease of use.

Accommodation

Owner's Cabin

The owner's suite is a full-beam cabin located further forward, making use of the yacht's width. The cabin includes a large bed, wardrobes, and en-suite bathroom with a shower, sink, and toilet. The en-suite benefits from the yacht's vertical bow design, offering more space at the front.

Guest Accommodation

The guest cabin features a bed with additional storage and hanging space. The cabin utilizes day heads, which include a shower, sink, and toilet.

Crew Accommodation

Accessible through a trap door, a space that is mainly used for storage can serve as an occasional overflow cabin. It includes a small sink and hanging locker. Though not primarily designed for crew, it can accommodate additional guests if needed.

Performance

Spacious for a 52-foot boat, the engine room houses two Volvo Pental D8-IPS800 engines positioned forward on jackshafts, a generator, and fuel tanks with sight gauges. The yacht reaches a top speed of about 32 knots, with a cruising speed of 20 to 25 knots. The range is approximately 300 miles, though this varies with speed and conditions.

On Deck

Nick found the Pardo GT52 to be a modern and versatile yacht with thoughtful design features and flexible layout options. He appreciated the galley down layout for its additional space and the sociable setting of the saloon. The helm is well-equipped but could benefit from a second screen for enhanced functionality.

The yacht's guest and owner's cabins are well-appointed, and the hidden storage space adds utility. The sleek exterior design and contemporary interior make the Pardo GT52 a stylish choice for owner-operators.

Overall, Nick believes the Pardo GT52 successfully balances aesthetics with practicality, offering a luxurious and enjoyable experience on the water.
