On Deck
Starting from the hi-lo platform, there are steps up to the cockpit, which has a comfortable size.
The flybridge has a bar area and a sun pad, which is favored for its forward-facing lift-up sections. The outdoor dining area has a bimini for shade.
The foredeck stood out for its massive sunbathing area and a slightly raised section for sitting. Also noted were the wide decks and the neat splitting mechanism for the fenders that prevents them from getting over the decks.
Interior
The Prestige 590 features a galley-aft layout. The stairs up to the flybridge have been placed outside, allowing for the galley to take up more room.
The saloon area which is particularly impressive, has almost floor-to-ceiling windows, providing an impressive view. There is door on one side offering ventilation and easy access, along with a comfortable chaise lounge area. The lower helm with wide windscreens are also situated here.
In the lower decks there is a VIP master cabin with good lighting and an option to separate the berth into two single V-bunks, ideal for children onboard. There is a large walk-in wardrobe and desk area.
Upon entering the heads, it is noted that this is also the ensuite to the VIP cabin with a separate shower compartment. The third cabin also caught his attention for its spaciousness, headroom, and great lighting.
The tour then led to the master cabin, which had private facilities, a feature typical in Prestige yachts. The cabin has a full-beam layout and snug area. Also featured is a walk-in wardrobe with direct access to the shower.
Performance
The engine room has a pair of Cummins engines and, despite the lack of standing headroom, it is found to be satisfactory for a sub 60-foot boat.
