On Deck

The boat has an impressive hi-lo platform, which can carry a jet ski, and a garage that can accommodate a decent-sized tender. Nick also appreciates the sun pad on top of the garage. Next to this is the cockpit area, which has a folding teak table and a stylish spray-painted finish on the storage area. The canopy that can be dropped back when leaving the boat is also pointed out.

On the deck area, the engine controls and thruster controls that allow for stern-to berthing are highlighted. He admires the teak-laid side decks and the practical handrail. In the bow cockpit area there is forward-facing seating and wonderfully placed sunbeds.

Upstairs on the small flybridge, features include seating at the back, a bimini top, and bar area. The flybridge provides great adaptability and a terrific view from the helm.

Interior

The Princess 62 has a galley-aft layout, with a lifting window that connects the cockpit and saloon areas well. Nick particularly likes the boat's window line on both sides and the sliding roof, which throws plenty of light into the saloon area. He shows off the boat's storage areas and the glass cockpit, before moving on to the VIP guest cabin, praising the woodwork and storage in this area.

Nick explores the master cabin, calling it a "really lovely cabin" on a sport-style boat of this size. The completely flat floor impresses, as well as the large hull windows and the well-finished headboard. He finds the ensuite and the well-finished heads compartment to be up to Princess's usual standards.

Crew Accommodation

The Princess 62 has a small crew area, while it is acknowledged that it's not suitable for permanent crew, it's a useful space for occasional use or storage. It does include a proper separate toilet compartment and is air-conditioned.

Performance

In the engine room there are impressive MAN V8 engines, each of 1,200 horsepower, giving the boat a speed in the mid to high 30s. Also appreciated are the sound deadening cladding and how well-lit the space is.

In Summary

Overall, Nick is extremely impressed with the Princess S62. He believes it offers a great level of accommodation considering its size and style.
