Video Tour
On Deck
The Targa 32 Coupé features a sleek design with rich teak capping that showcases a beautiful radius, running all the way around the vessel. The model Carl toured had a unique black package, trading the standard stainless steel for black anodized stanchion posts, complementing the available range of hull colors. Owners can customise their yacht with any colored gel coat they desire, and the boat on display sported a distinctive olive khaki hue. The yacht has a sliding glass aft deck door and windows for light and access.
The Targa 32 Coupé offers a coupe top with an optional sliding sunroof, providing an open-air experience, the coupe's design allows for this larger, retractable feature. The roof also sports a custom rack for storing surfboards and similar gear, bespoke to the owner's request.
Interior
The wheelhouse of the Targa 32 Coupé remains unchanged from the standard model, with surround dinette seating and a reversible navigator position. The pilot house seat has been updated with additional suspension. The galley is cleverly tucked away with improved storage solutions, making the space more efficient and user-friendly.
The helm station boasts excellent visibility through forward-raked windows, an adjustable wheel, and a multifunction display screen that does not obstruct the view. The side door offers quick deck access and ventilation. The yacht's helm also features twin throttles and, as an option, joystick control, though Carl suggests that given the boat's ease of handling, the joystick may not be necessary.
Accommodation
Owner's Cabin
Below deck, the standard cabin can be expanded with the 'comfort cabin package' for a larger space.
Guest Accommodation
The aft cabin is notable for accommodating three berths—a rarity for a yacht this size—consisting of a single and a double, along with a toilet and shower compartment.
Performance
The Targa 32 Coupé offers a range of engine options, including single or twin diesel engines on stern drives. The top-end twin 440 horsepower Volvo Penta D6 engines can achieve a top speed of around 48 to 50 knots. However, the twin D4 320 horsepower engines from Volvo Penta are recommended for their balance of power, efficiency, and overall value, still reaching nearly 40 knots.
In Summary
Carl appreciates the Targa 32 Coupé for its blend of performance and practicality. He admires the customisable options, from the hull color to the interior layout, and notes the impressive speed capabilities. The attention to detail in the finishings and the thoughtful design of the living spaces and storage solutions resonate with him. While he questions the necessity of the joystick control considering the cost and the yacht's inherent maneuverability, he recognizes it as a matter of personal preference. Overall, Carl's tour reflects a positive view of the yacht's offerings, particularly for those seeking a high-performance, family-friendly cruiser with customisable features.
