The 65 from British builder Sunseeker is the entry-level sportbridge boat. Constructed from GRP, the multi-award winning 65 has a planing hull design and is capable of speeds up to 35 knots.

Interior

The master cabin on the 65 is located aft. All cabins on the 65 are ensuite. The guest cabins offer a VIP and a twin as the berth arrangement. At 20.46m/67'2" the 65 is designed for either owner or full crew operation. There is a single crew cabin with a berth and toilet and washing facilities, this will also make a fun children’s or occasional guest cabin.

Exterior

The stern design incorporates a full tender garage, with space for a JetRIB tender. Alternatively the tender can be carried on the bathing platform, with the vacated space used as a dedicated beach club, complete with a hydraulic bathing platform so the inviting water is always within easy reach.

The model also features the innovative ‘SkyHelm™’, featuring twin bolstered seats set low on either side of a central console. Both helm seats can pivot aft for socialising, and the windscreen can tilt up and down depending upon the driver's preference. The experience has been likened to that of driving a high-performance convertible supercar.

Performance

The planing hull of the 65 is powered by twin engines. There are two engine options, split between twin 900hp Volvo Penta D13-IPS1200 and twin 1000hp Volvo Penta D13-IPS1350.

The 65 Sport Yacht will be fundamentally different from the current Sunseeker range in the 60ft segment due to its sculptured exterior design, innovative helm concept and stylish interior appointments. No single area has been left unchallenged in the search for perfection.

Her sleek exterior profile, with an almost invisible minimalist bridge deck, have been enhanced by the addition of rakish hull glazing, emphasising her modern sporting prowess whilst increasing natural light into the lower deck spaces. The exterior is a cool blend of tinted glazing, teak, carbon fibre and polished stainless steel; perfectly balancing the traditional with hi-tech to enhance the emotional and performance traits of this dynamic new model.

Central to this yacht’s appeal, the modular sport bridge can be specified in two ways; a standard ‘Sky Lounge’ with comfortable chaise longue and companion seating or a revolutionary and truly innovative ‘Sky Helm’. Featuring twin bolstered seats set very low either side of a central console, instrumentation is courtesy of a state-of-the-art glass bridge plotter complete with retro chrome dials. This design sets-off a very modern fully-carbon steering arm that can be raised to ease ingress into this racing-cockpit design or locked in a raised position for helming while standing. Cleverly, both helm seats can pivot aft for socialising while the windscreen can also tilt up and down depending on the driver’s preference and desire to be connected to the elements.

In line with this new model’s sporting credentials, access to the sport bridge is made from a lightweight feature staircase crafted from stainless steel, carbon and teak.

To starboard, the over-lapping entrance glazing slides effortlessly away allowing the cockpit to merge seamlessly with the generous and comfortable interior dominated by the superstructure’s expansive glazing.

Accommodating up to six guests in a three-cabin layout, the spacious, full beam master stateroom includes a generous en-suite while the forward VIP cabin has been designed thoughtfully to give even more space.

Should an owner wish to carry the tender on the bathing platform, the vacated space can be specified as a dedicated and fully-featured ‘Beach Club’ with direct sea access via moulded steps and more modular options for bar, fridge/ice maker units, BBQ and free-standing seating.

The new yacht cuts an equally impressive figure on the open water with speeds of up to 38 knots courtesy of the Volvo Penta IPS-1200 or IPS-1350 engines providing maneuverability, efficiency and dynamic performance.
