Used Sports Yachts For Sale
The sports yacht is not only one of the most popular yacht types, it is also one of the earliest. From fast and fun boats that offered some useful accommodation, the sports yacht has continuously evolved, with the American variants of the 1980s and 90s perhaps the main driver for the luxurious models we see today.
The sports yacht offers a great mix of speed, styler and space, with ever more luxurious interiors. The used market will cover everything from entry-level weekenders of around 10m - 12m to flagship models of over 20m.
Sports yachts built before 2000 will usually be open and more spender, with the emphasis more on speed than accommodation. After 2000, the hardtop design filtered down from larger models to the mid and then the entry-level market.
A very practical feature that does away with the need for canopies and helps create a more sheltered and so luxurious cockpit, the hardtop is now a must-have feature for most buyers. The design incorporates a sunroof and has led to a move away from long stretches of cockpit to a separate deck salon, within the hardtop, and aft cockpit for al fresco living.
