Vanquish Yachts History & Heritage

Established in 2012, Vanquish Yachts, founded by professional welder Tom Steentjes, has been a pioneer in applying modern technology to various productions.

Initially venturing into non-standard equipment for fast food, Steentjes transitioned to the yacht market, leveraging his business acumen and aluminum expertise to create extravagant and groundbreaking products. The debut model, VQ32, designed for lake use, emerged in 2013, paving the way for subsequent models. The philosophy of uniqueness, shared by Steentjes and customers alike, shaped a diverse range of models forming the foundation of the yard's modern collection.

In 2015, Vanquish Yachts embarked on the VQ15 project, a fusion of boat and jet ski, with successful tests conducted after two years. The shipyard's ambitions in the superyacht segment became evident in 2016 with the launch of the VQ 90 Veloce, a collaboration with Guido de Groot Design. Featuring a deep-V hull and partially submerged Arneson propellers, the Veloce stands as one of the world's fastest superyachts, reaching speeds of 55+ knots.

Situated in Steenwijk, the shipyard and company office serve as hubs, with dealers located across Europe, the USA, Mexico, New Zealand, Australia, and China. The Vanquish Yachts collection spans from 5-27m (16-90ft), offering high-speed premium aluminum VQ yachts capable of reaching 40 knots, with speeds escalating to 50+ knots in the Veloce version. Notably, each Vanquish model allows for deep customization, accommodating design changes and engaging customers directly in the construction process.

The shipyard emphasizes the unique characteristics of their boats — distinctive designs, chopped shapes, vertical stems, high speed, acceleration, excellent maneuverability, comfort, and long range. Crafted from aluminum, Vanquish yachts are touted as relatively inexpensive to maintain and resistant to quick depreciation.
