Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 9.4m beam and a 2.96m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 499 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Construction started in early 2022. This was the first yacht built on the 50Steel design. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in May 2024 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was completed at Sanlorenzo's La Spezia yard in Italy where she was commissioned and delivered to her owners in July 2024.

Exterior Design

The exterior design of Almax, developed by Zuccon International Project, is characterized by clean, essential lines, while Almax's hull and superstructure are both painted white contrasting with the black windows and black waterline, creating a cohesive and sleek visual profile.

The raked bow and displacement hull configuration are designed to enhance stability and performance. The use of steel for the hull and aluminum for the superstructure ensures durability and strength while maintaining a lighter weight for improved efficiency. Teak decking adds a touch of traditional craftsmanship and provides a practical, non-slip surface for guests and crew.

A distinctive feature of Almax is the Hidden Engine Room (HER) system. This design innovation repositions the engine room to the lower deck, freeing up space aft. This allows for the creation of the Ocean Lounge, an expansive area that connects directly to the aft Beach Club. The Beach Club is equipped with a pool and features three open terraces that extend over 150 square meters, forming an open-air space when the yacht is at anchor.

The yacht spans five staggered decks, maximizing internal space and reducing the need for partitions. This layout supports an open-plan design while maintaining the yacht's structural integrity. The external profile remains streamlined and unobtrusive, a result of careful planning and innovative architectural solutions.

Externally, the connection between different areas of the yacht is facilitated by a system of stairs with minimal level differences, ensuring ease of movement without disrupting the yacht's sleek profile. The upper levels are interconnected, providing seamless access while maintaining a clear and uncluttered design.

Almax includes a spacious Ocean Lounge, Beach Club with a pool, and accommodates 10 guests in pure luxury.

Interior Design

The interior design of yacht Almax , a result of Piero Lissoni's expertise, focuses on clean lines and functional spaces. The features used throughout the yacht include dark wood walls and coffered ceilings, lending a sophisticated yet understated aesthetic. Dining and other interior areas feature ceiling heights ranging from 2.1 meters to 3.35 meters for an open, airy feel.

The main saloon features a long white sofa, complemented by dark wood chairs with white cushions. A large, low square coffee table sits atop a blue rug, creating a comfortable space for relaxation. The dining saloon houses the “Grasshopper” table, designed by Lissoni, which combines industrial elements with artistic flair. The brown marbled table is paired with black and chrome chairs, and the lit panels in this area mirror those found on the upper aft deck. The upper deck features a second salon, which provides additional space for guests to unwind. This area is connected to the lower deck via a staircase that runs through the interior, ensuring easy movement between different parts of Almax.

The Ocean Lounge, positioned at the lower deck, is directly connected to the aft Beach Club. This lounge offers direct access to the sea and is outfitted with comfortable seating and modern amenities, enhancing the onboard experience. The Beach Club itself features a pool and unfolding sea terraces, creating a versatile space for leisure and recreation.

Accommodation

The Sanlorenzo-built yacht Almax provides accommodation for up to 10 guests in 5 suites.

The owner’s cabin features a serene palette, with neutral colors and a touch of elegance in its decor. A highlight of this cabin is the Japanese silk folding screen that stretches across the wall, hand-painted with cranes, adding a distinctive artistic element to the space. The cabin is designed to ensure privacy and comfort, with thoughtful details such as a white rug with a black diamond pattern and textured glass doors that provide both style and seclusion.

Guest cabins are clad with red ribbed paneling and circular portholes. Each cabin is fitted with en suite facilities, with unique tiles by Domenico Mori. The bathrooms are designed with a cream marbled effect for the double vanity sinks, complemented by chrome taps and black glass.

She is also capable of carrying up to 9 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience

Performance & Capabilities

Almax is equipped with MAN D2862-LE489 engines, each delivering 1066 kW (1450 PS) at 2100 RPM, ensuring robust and reliable performance. Motor yacht Almax with these engines can achieve a maximum speed of approximately 16 knots, with a cruising speed of around 12.5 knots. For extended journeys, Almax offers an economical speed of about 11 knots, providing a substantial range of up to 4,000 nautical miles. This range is supported by a fuel capacity of 55,000 liters, allowing for long-distance cruising without frequent refueling stops.

Almax is designed with a focus on sustainability and innovation. She features a Green Methanol Reformer Fuel Cell system, developed in collaboration with Siemens Energy. This system allows the yacht to transform green methanol into hydrogen and subsequently into electrical energy, powering all hotel systems onboard without emitting carbon. The fuel cell system can generate up to 100 kW of electrical energy, enabling the yacht to operate emission-free for up to 90% of typical usage time while at anchor.

The yacht also incorporates Sanlorenzo's patented Hidden Engine Room (HER) system. This innovative design allows for a horizontally developed propulsion system and a new distribution of technical areas in the under lower deck. This configuration maximizes usable space, providing additional living areas.

Almax's sleek Zuccon design, featuring a steel hull and aluminum superstructure, ensures excellent stability and performance.
