Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 31'6" beam and a 10'10" draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 899 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Construction started in early 2007 with the keel laid under the project name 'Scarona'. Launched in April 2010 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in May 2010.

Exterior Design

The deck areas are designed to offer a range of experiences, from panoramic vistas on the upper sun deck to the more protected ambience of informal and formal dining areas on the aft decks. An upper deck feature includes an aft seating area with a covered wet bar, BBQ, and a sauna, enhancing the outdoor experience. Central to the forward section of the upper deck is the jacuzzi, strategically placed for optimal views and surrounded by sunbathing cushions.

On the bridge deck, a semi-covered dining area is complemented by wide-glazed doors that lead to the upper salon, creating an inviting indoor-outdoor space. A novel addition is a small seating area in front of the bridge, offering a unique vantage point. The aft main deck further extends the outdoor living space, suitable for dining or relaxation, with easy access to the yacht’s array of water toys.

A standout feature of Baraka’s exterior is the spacious garage, equipped with clam doors and two Nautical Structure cranes for deploying two large tenders, enhancing the yacht’s capability for exploration and leisure activities.

BAraka has been also been designed for wheelchair access directly from the quay to the passerelle. Once on board guests in wheelchairs have access to the main deck, lower deck and upper decks via an elevator.

Superyacht BARAKA is a stylish and contemporary luxury charter yacht fully geared for outdoor living.

Interior Design

The use of plain surfaces is strategically interrupted by textures and color splashes, creating a visually engaging environment without overwhelming the senses. The interior's angular geometry is softened by the strategic placement of color and materials that evoke a connection to the sea and its surroundings.

Large windows allow for natural light to flood the interior spaces but also ensure that the transition between the indoor and outdoor environments is fluid and natural. The color palette is predominantly white, which serves to amplify the sense of space and light. Accents of red and other colors are used sparingly, adding vibrancy without detracting from the serene atmosphere.

In the main salon, the colors of the sea and sky are mirrored in the white deck-head and wall panels, with red accents redirecting attention inward from the panoramic views outside. The flooring in the master bedroom contrasts darkly against the white walls and ceiling, grounding the space and directing the eye through the large, open room.

The modern and spacious galley is equipped to support dining experiences in the adjacent open-plan dining room, which itself benefits from direct sight-lines to the main salon, enhancing the sense of openness. A food lift connecting all three decks, along with a utility lift, underscores the yacht's commitment to convenience and ease of movement within the vessel.

The upper sky-lounge stands out for its stylish design and dual seating areas, complemented by a large TV, offering a comfortable space for entertainment or relaxation. The presence of a fully equipped gym acknowledges the importance of health and wellness, even while at sea, and is designed to integrate easily into the daily routines of guests.

In keeping with the interior's focus on light and space, the library on the upper deck offers a quiet retreat that still benefits from the yacht's overarching design language, with large windows and a light color scheme. The cooling effect of the 'fog' system on the aft deck is a notable feature, blending technology with comfort to enhance the experience of outdoor spaces.

Accommodation

Baraka has been arranged to cater to the needs of 12 guests in six suites. The accommodation consists of a master suite, four queen guest suites, and a VIP suite located on the main deck, ensuring ample space and privacy for each guest aboard.

The master suite is a full-beam bedroom that showcases large picture windows on either side, allowing for natural light and breathtaking views of the surrounding sea. The suite is accessible through a special lobby area, emphasizing the exclusivity and privacy of this space. The interior features a dark floor covering that contrasts with the white walls and deck head, creating an airy and spacious atmosphere. Adjacent to the bedroom, guests will find a master office area and a luxurious master bathroom equipped with a freestanding oval bath, further enhancing the suite's appeal through thoughtful design and color.

Each of the four queen guest bedrooms mirrors the master suite’s layout and design ethos, characterized by the signature white decor. These rooms achieve individuality through distinct color schemes, offering a personalized experience for guests. The VIP suite on the main deck complements the guest accommodation, providing a prestigious and comfortable space for additional guests.

Crew accommodation has been given equal consideration, with provisions for 12 crew members across six crew cabins. A large mess area is designated for the crew, highlighting the yacht’s commitment to the well-being and efficiency of its personnel.
