Design & Construction

Designed around a semi-displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 7.16m beam and a 1.91m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 197 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Construction started in mid 2008. This was the twenty-fourth yacht built on the Tradition 105' design. She was completed at Benetti's Viareggio yard in Italy where she was commissioned and delivered to her owners in June 2011.

Exterior Design

The exterior design of the yacht Coconuts is characterized by a raked bow and a sleek, white hull. The superstructure is also painted white, maintaining a cohesive and streamlined appearance. The deck is constructed from teak, providing durability and a classic nautical look. The boot top and the area below the waterline are both finished in black, offering a striking contrast to the predominantly white exterior.

The main deck features an aft seating area with a sofa and loose chairs, providing a straightforward and practical space for relaxation. The design ensures easy access to the bridge deck via a set of stairs.

The bridge deck itself is equipped with a large dining table capable of seating ten guests, complemented by a wet bar. This area is shaded and can be further covered with sun shades as needed. The bridge deck also includes a pantry with essential amenities such as a fridge, freezers, sink, ice machine, and a small bar area, facilitating convenient service to guests.

Moving up, the flybridge offers a steering position for the captain, enhancing maneuverability. Above the flybridge is a sunbathing area that can also be shaded with awnings if required. The foredeck includes a large sun mattress and an additional sunbathing area, adding to the outdoor options available to guests.

The design incorporates practical elements such as large portholes in the guest cabins below deck, allowing for ample natural light. The stern features a swim platform that doubles as part of the garage door, which houses a William tender and a three-person jet ski, emphasizing utility and accessibility.

Interior Design

Coconuts reflects a functional and elegant layout, prioritizing space and comfort. Upon entering from the starboard side pass rail, guests are welcomed onto the aft deck, featuring a comfortable seating area with a sofa and additional seating for eight guests. The main salon is accessible from the aft deck. It includes a seating area on the port side and a dining table that accommodates eight guests. Large windows and light materials create a bright and airy atmosphere.

Forward from the main salon, the main lobby serves as a central point. It provides access to various areas of the yacht, including the owner’s entrance on the starboard side.

The galley, located on the main deck, features large windows that provide a bright workspace for the chef. It is equipped with essential amenities, including a fridge, freezers, sink, and an ice machine. Adjacent to the galley, a large pantry serves the main deck area.

Accommodation

Coconuts offers ample accommodation for up to ten guests. The yacht features an owner's suite located on the main deck. This suite is notable for its wraparound windows, providing a panoramic view, and includes a spacious bathroom equipped with a shower, toilet with a bidet, and a Jacuzzi bathtub.

Below deck, Coconuts has four additional guest cabins. Two of these cabins are furnished with queen-size beds and come with en suite bathrooms. The other two cabins are equipped with single beds and also feature Pullman beds, making them versatile for different guest arrangements. These cabins have large portholes that provide substantial natural light, enhancing the comfort of the lower deck accommodations.

Crew accommodation is located in the lower deck area and consists of three cabins, which can house up to five crew members. This ensures that guests receive attentive service throughout their stay on board.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C18 Acert) 1,000hp engines, motor yacht Coconuts is capable of reaching a top speed of 14 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots. With her 21,500 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 1,850 nautical miles at 12 knots. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.
