Galene is a 180'1" motor yacht for sale delivered by Dutch shipyard Amels in 2020. She features exterior design by Tim Heywood Design and interior styling by Laura Sessa Romboli.

Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 30'10" beam and a 11' draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 671 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the sixteenth yacht built on the Amels 180 design. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in March 2020 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in June 2020.
Exterior Design
Galene's hull is constructed from steel, providing durability and strength, while the superstructure is made from lightweight aluminium. Both the hull and the superstructure are painted white, creating a clean and cohesive appearance. The boot top is accented in black, adding a touch of contrast.
The yacht features a flared bow and a displacement hull configuration, increasing stability and a smooth sailing experience. The vessel’s design includes expansive outdoor spaces with teak decking, highlighted by a vast sun deck equipped with a raised sunbathing area protected by glass panels. This deck also hosts a large Jacuzzi surrounded by sunbeds and a bar with glass doors to shield against the wind. A shaded lounging area with movable furniture allows for versatile use and comfort.
Fold-down balconies enhance the exterior, with two located in the main deck salon and one in the master cabin, promoting indoor-outdoor living. The bridge deck offers an alfresco dining option that can accommodate up to 12 guests around a teak dining table, sheltered from the elements by the sun deck above and enclosed by subtle glass panels.
Interior Design
Galene's interior design is focused on clean lines and functionality, creating a modern and welcoming environment. The contemporary décor is accentuated by large windows that allow natural light to flood the spaces, providing unobstructed views of the surroundings.
The main deck salon is designed for relaxation and social interaction. It features two fold-down balconies that enhance the sense of space and connection to the outdoors. The bridge deck salon is equipped with a flatscreen TV and Apple TV, making it an ideal space for entertainment. Plush sofas provide comfortable seating, transforming the area into a home cinema when required.
Sliding glass doors link the interior spaces to the exterior, allowing for a natural breeze and extending the living area. The design prioritizes both aesthetics and practicality, with movable furniture that adapts to different needs.
Accommodation
The luxury yacht Galene offers spacious and well-appointed accommodation for up to 12 guests in five suites comprising an owner's cabin located on the main deck, two VIP cabins and two twin cabins.
The full-beam master suite is located on the main deck. This expansive suite includes a super king bed, his and hers bathrooms, and walk-in wardrobes. A private fold-down balcony adds an extra layer of exclusivity and allows for unobstructed views of the surroundings.
On the lower deck, there are two VIP double cabins. Each of these cabins comes with its own ensuite bathroom, ensuring a high level of comfort and privacy.
Additionally, the lower deck houses two convertible cabins. These cabins also feature ensuite bathrooms and are equipped with a Pullman bed each, allowing for flexible sleeping arrangements.
Galene is operated by a professional crew of 13, ensuring that all aspects of the yacht's operation run smoothly and that guests receive top-tier service throughout their stay.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel MTU (16V2000M70) 1,308hp engines, motor yacht Galene is capable of reaching a top speed of 15 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots. With her 30,116 gallon fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,500 nautical miles at 12 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters.
Amenities
The yacht features a well-equipped gym, allowing her guests to keep up their fitness regimes at sea. Waterfront living can be enjoyed to the fullest, thanks to a large beach club and connecting swim platform with plenty of space for sitting back and admiring the sea views. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. Crowning the yacht is a spacious sundeck with an inviting spread of sunpads and deck jacuzzi which provides excellent views.
