Alulim is a 172'7" motor yacht delivered by Italian shipyard Sanlorenzo in 2018. Her interior design and exterior styling comes from the drawing boards of Officina Italiana Design, while Sanlorenzo is responsible for her naval architecture.

Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement w/ bulbous bow steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 31' beam and a 9'6" draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 499 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Construction started in mid 2015. This was the second yacht built on the 52Steel design. Launched in March 2018 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was completed at Sanlorenzo's La Spezia yard in Italy where she was commissioned and delivered to her owners in June 2018.
Exterior Design
The yacht KD, built by Sanlorenzo, features a distinctive exterior design that prioritizes functionality and elegance. The 53-meter length, an extension from the original 52Steel series design, accommodates a lengthened swim platform which enhances tender operations and adds to the yacht’s overall profile. This platform facilitates easy entrance and exit for the tender, integrating seamlessly with the beach club area when not in use. The beach club itself, a standout feature, extends the yacht's hospitality space with fold-down terraces on both port and starboard sides, a bar, and a direct connection to an onboard gymnasium. Light filters through the cockpit infinity pool above through a skylight that stretches across the ceiling.
KD's stern is equipped with reinforced bollards, catering to both 'stern to' and 'rock' moorings, indicating a design that considers practical mooring needs in diverse environments. The exterior design is not just about aesthetics but also about the yacht's operational efficiency and adaptability to the varying demands at sea.
The main deck of KD is designed with leisure in mind, featuring a bar with a wine cooler and leading to an upper aft al fresco dining area that is sheltered, allowing for outdoor enjoyment in various weather conditions. The sundeck is equipped for relaxation and entertainment, offering sunbathing areas, a hot tub and shower, and a sit-up bar, maximizing the use of outdoor space for guest enjoyment.
Interior Design
The interior of the yacht KD, designed in collaboration with Interior Designer Tiziana Vercellesi, integrates custom design elements with a focus on hand-painted and embroidered silk wallcoverings, following patterns from the Asian and China Classic collections by Misha Wallcoverings. A central floating staircase connects the lower and upper floors, featuring custom peony wallcoverings on silk with full embroidery, highlighted by a glass statue centerpiece.
The main salon and dining area are laid with chequered parquet flooring, adding a classic and elegant touch to the open-plan space. This area is designed for social interaction, with a bar and a separate professional galley finished in stainless steel, highlighting the practical and sophisticated aspects of the yacht's design.
Throughout KD, the use of precious materials and custom design elements, under the guidance of Tiziana Vercellesi, has resulted in a visually cohesive and aesthetically pleasing interior that reflects careful consideration of both form and function.
The bridge is outfitted with large multifunctional displays (MFDs) and a ship's wheel, complemented by a leather captain's chair with fine stitching, indicating a blend of traditional maritime elements with modern technology for precise navigation and control.
Accommodation
KD offers accommodation for up to 12 guests in six suites comprising an owner's cabin, a VIP cabin, two double cabins and two twin cabins.
The full beam master suite is located on the main deck, featuring an office area with a desk for moments of reflection or work. The master suite includes a substantial shower room, offering views through a landscape window, allowing guests to gaze at the passing scenery in complete privacy. The decor is highlighted by custom orchid wallcoverings on a background of Avorio color dupion silk, with the ensuite shower room displaying an impressive peony wallcovering. The suite is completed with dual washbasins and a large mirror, enhancing the sense of space and light.
Accommodation on KD includes a VIP, situated to afford a comforting sense of privacy and tranquility. This room is distinguished by its bamboo forest wallcoverings against a double silk salt flats background color, alongside a shower room and a window to connect guests with the journey outside.
For additional guests, KD houses two identical cabins, each equipped with two single beds, storage solutions, and a small window to ensure a comfortable stay. These cabins are uniquely decorated with hand-painted fishes and butterflies on dupion silk Avorio background color, creating a charming and serene atmosphere.
Crew accommodation has been designed to cater to a team of nine, ensuring that every need of the guests can be met promptly and efficiently, allowing for a seamless experience aboard the KD.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel MTU (12V 4000 M63) 12-cylinder 1,900hp engines, motor yacht Alulim is capable of reaching a top speed of 18 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots. With her 14,529 gallon fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,000 nautical miles at 12 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters.

In addition, a generous beach club offers direct access to the ocean. The yacht can house plenty of nautical toys and accessories, with a well-appointed tender garage for storing her impressive locker. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. Alulim also features deck jacuzzi which provides excellent views.
