Design & Construction

Designed around a full displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 10.4m beam and a 3.2m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 996 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Construction started in early 2006. She was delivered to her owners in November 2008.

Exterior Design

Christina V features a clipper bow, providing a traditional maritime look while contributing to its seafaring capabilities. The superstructure is made of lightweight aluminum, optimizing the yacht's performance and stability. The decks are crafted from teak, offering a practical, non-slip surface that is also weather-resistant. Aesthetically, Christina V showcases a consistent color scheme with a white hull and superstructure, complemented by black accents on the boot top and below the waterline.

The sun deck provides large sunpads leading to a spa pool. Clear screens surrounding this area offer wind protection while maintaining panoramic views. This area serves as a prime spot for relaxation post-workout.

The deck aft is split across two levels. The lower level, under the mast arch, holds a circular dining table that is sheltered and private. The upper level functions as a sunbathing platform during cruising, a stowage spot for twin jet skis during transit, and a touch-and-go helicopter landing pad when needed.

The upper deck includes an oval 14-seater dining table, with additional seating in both aft quarters, making it suitable for evening cocktails or reading. The seating arrangement also incorporates a small table and two aft-facing seats for unobstructed sunset views.

On the main deck, a U-shaped seating area is designed for family gatherings, facilitated by the stowage of tenders and toys in a stern garage. Small, practical details, such as stainless steel drain holes above the dining table on the aft upper deck, prevent water and condensation issues, demonstrating thoughtful craftsmanship.

Forward from the main aft deck, Christina V's design includes steps up to the bridge deck and down to the fore deck, enhancing the yacht's spatial feel. On these decks, functional elements like anchor windlass Teflon runners reduce noise and vibration, benefiting those in the master suite located at the forward end of the main deck.

Interior Design

The interior design of Christina V reflects a blend of practicality and refined aesthetic choices, with attention to detail evident throughout. The design, crafted by Studio Massari, combines a mix of dark ebony Macassar, pale anigré, satinwood, and zebrawood, creating a visually appealing environment without being ostentatious.

The upper deck saloon is designed with a focus on comfort and utility. It features bookshelves, family photographs, and a baby grand piano. This space includes a small computer station, suitable for the owner's children. The saloon's atmosphere is relaxed, with dark wood furniture to starboard and lighter wood furniture to port, all set beneath a paneled, backlit ceiling.

The top deck is equipped with a gymnasium, originally designed with a steam room and shower, now replaced by additional workout equipment such as a cross-trainer, weights bench, and running machine.

The main deck saloon is separated from the dining area by a partition, allowing the dining space to be used independently. The dining table is a notable feature, inlaid with mother-of-pearl, ebony, boxwood, mahogany, and ash marquetry, and can seat 12 guests. This arrangement provides a comfortable, club-like atmosphere.

The interior design also includes thoughtful details such as a blend of animal skins and textures in the lift and staircase foyers. The lift well is encased in bands of leather, adding a rich texture and varied color to these functional spaces. The walk-through pantry on the upper deck, typically a service area, is decorated to the same standard as the main guest areas, ensuring a consistent design language throughout the interior spaces.

Accommodation

Christina V offers accommodation for up to 12 guests. The master suite on Christina V is located at the forward end of the main deck. This elegant space includes a private study, offering a quiet retreat with panoramic views over the bow. The suite also features a spacious dressing room, which provides ample storage for personal belongings, making it ideal for both private use and charter purposes. The bathroom in the master suite is equipped with a double basin, adding to the practicality and luxury of the space.

Situated on the upper deck, the VIP cabin provides a premium experience for guests. The cabin is designed to the same high standard as the master suite, ensuring a visually appealing and comfortable stay.

On the lower deck, Christina V accommodates guests in two double cabins and two twin cabins, each with en suite facilities. These cabins are designed to provide a harmonious blend of comfort and style, ensuring that guests can relax and unwind in a serene environment.

Christina V is also equipped to accommodate a professional crew of up to 15 members. The crew quarters include a captain's cabin, an engineer's cabin, and six twin-bunked cabins.
