Design & Construction

Designed around a full displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 9.6m beam and a 3.1m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 860 GT (Gross Tonnes).

The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards.

Exterior Design

Petara features a raked bow, providing both an aesthetic appeal and functional benefits. The hull and superstructure are painted in a crisp white, contributing to a clean and streamlined look. The boot top is highlighted in dark blue, adding a subtle contrast that enhances the yacht's visual profile. Below the waterline, the antifoul coating is a complementary blue, ensuring both performance and protection.

The sun deck is a large, versatile area suitable for sun lounging, exercising, or entertaining. It features a crescent of banquette seating with cocktail tables, a raised jacuzzi and lounge seating beneath a hardtop, a dayhead and bar with an icemaker to port, and storage for gym equipment to starboard.

The upper deck aft provides ample space with two C-shaped sofas around coffee tables, a sit-up bar beneath the overhang, and a banquette sun lounge aft. The walkaround sidedecks lead to the foredeck, which includes storage for a tender launched by a deck crane.

The main deck aft offers a variety of spaces, including two adjoining lounge areas beneath the overhang and sun lounge seating aft. Steps on either side lead down to the swim platform, and the starboard sidedeck leads to the lobby, which includes a dayhead.

The full-beam garage on the lower deck stores tenders, toys, and a city car, launching them through shell doors on either side. These doors also serve as teak-decked sea terraces once the toys are launched.

Interior Design

The main saloon features large picture windows that provide ample natural light and excellent views. The lounge area is situated to port, while a diagonally positioned TV is located starboard aft. Forward of a partial bulkhead, there is a formal dining area adjacent to the main lobby and entrance lobby.

The sky lounge, located on the upper deck, includes an L-shaped lounge to port and armchairs to starboard. A gaming table is positioned port aft, and a large TV is mounted on the forward bulkhead, making it suitable for various forms of entertainment.

The material choices are practical and durable, ensuring longevity and ease of maintenance. The main saloon and sky lounge are designed for both relaxation and social interaction, with thoughtful placement of furniture to facilitate conversation and comfort.

Accommodation

Petara provides accommodation for up to 12 guests in six well-appointed suites. The full-beam owner's suite is located forward on the main deck. This spacious area includes a private office, a walk-in wardrobe, and his-and-hers en-suites that share a shower room.

In addition to the owner's suite, Petara features a VIP double cabin situated aft of the owner's suite. The lower deck comprises three double cabins and one twin cabin, each with its own en-suite facilities.

She is also capable of carrying up to 14 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (3516B) 2,700hp engines, motor yacht Petara is capable of reaching a top speed of 18 knots, and comfortably cruises at 14 knots. With her 140,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 5,000 nautical miles at 12 knots.
