Delivered in 2020, Seagull MRD is a 49.9m motor yacht for sale built by Italian shipyard Benetti. Benetti's in-house team has created the interior and exterior design of the superyacht.

Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 9.1m beam and a 3.2m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 499 GT (Gross Tonnes).

She was delivered to her owners in August 2020.

Exterior Design

Seagull MRD is a Benetti Custom collection yacht designed by Benetti’s in-house team. The yacht features a dynamic profile with curvilinear elements juxtaposed against sharp forward momentum angles. The yacht features a high-raked bow and white hull with large vertical portholes and smaller portlights to ensure ample natural light for the interior. A black bootstrap defines the waterline, and a prominent strake extends from the stern to forward of amidships. The bathing platform wraps around the quarter deck, adding visual interest to the side profile.

Extensive glazing forward along the main deck and superstructure provides unobstructed views. The deck line rises to an angled section that connects all deck levels up to the sun deck. The upper deck features contrasting black and white elements, enhancing the flow and visual interest. Side balconies forward of amidships on the main deck provide private guest spaces featuring stylish ghost chairs leading from the owner's suite, and above, on the upper deck level, the side decks flare out to provide navigation areas directly from the bridge area. 

The foredeck includes a recessed area for tender stowage with a launching crane. A flexible bimini can provide shade over the guest space, which includes a large C-shaped sofa and two expansive sun pads in ocean green. The sun deck features a centrally placed rectangular jacuzzi tub flanked by large sun pads. The aft deck includes a slightly elevated pool area with teak surround and seating, and a starboard-side staircase provides access to the lower deck. Under the canopy of the radar mast, a large circular dining table with seating for 12 guests, a bar, and cabinetry featuring a large TV screen benefit from the shade from above. 

At the stern, twin stairways lead from the main deck aft to the expansive bathing platform. A large transom door rises to reveal the beach club. The main deck aft features comfortable seating in white, accented with vibrant turquoise and lime green cushions and accessories.

Interior Design

The interiors are designed by Mauricio Gómez de Tuddo, selected by the yacht's Mexican owner, a repeat Benetti client. The colorful interior feels spacious and light, thanks to large windows throughout.

Large artwork pieces, including 'BE The Dancer' and 'Good Intentions' by Gigi and the Wolf, welcome guests to the primary dining area. This area features rope-woven chairs around a circular dining table with a prominent lettering design under a pinpoint ceiling light feature. The main salon has rounded, curved sofas with turquoise accents and bespoke round wooden tables with striking black designs. Large round lighting fixtures are reflected on the ceiling above. The wooden flooring is presented in a random large geometric pattern.

The upper deck salon includes a bar with jigsaw-piece bar stools, a smaller dining table for intimate gatherings, and rounded sofas similar to the main salon. The ceiling features inset semicircles of light.

Accommodation

The Seagull MRD offers accommodation for up to 12 guests in six well-appointed ensuite cabins. The yacht features a spacious master suite, designed with a full-beam layout and equipped with an ensuite balcony accessible via the port side. This suite provides ample space and privacy for the owner.

In addition to the master suite, the Seagull MRD includes a VIP stateroom on the main deck. This VIP cabin is complemented by an ensuite bathroom and a dedicated desk area, providing both comfort and functionality.

For the crew, the Seagull MRD includes accommodation for nine members.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MAN (V12-1400) 12-cylinder 1,399hp engines running at 2300rpm, motor yacht Seagull MRD is capable of reaching a top speed of 16 knots, and comfortably cruises at 13 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters.

Amenities

Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort and underwater lights will turn plenty of heads when the sun goes down. Seagull MRD also features a deck jacuzzi for cooling off.
