The 55.5m motor yacht Shadow was delivered to her owners in 2017 by Dutch shipyard Damen Yachting. Her interior and exterior has been penned in-house by the Damen Yachting design team.

Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and a steel/aluminium superstructure she features a 9.25m beam and a 3.2m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 489 GT (Gross Tonnes). The design also incorporates a heli-pad.
This was the fifth yacht built on the YS 5009 design. Launched in July 2017 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in August 2017.
Exterior Design
The exterior design of Shadow features a functional and striking Axe Bow shape, providing both aesthetic appeal and performance benefits. The deck, made from composite materials, ensures durability and minimal maintenance. The hull is painted in a clean white and light blue color scheme, creating a sharp contrast with the black boot top and below-the-waterline areas. The superstructure maintains a cohesive appearance with its white finish, contributing to the yacht's streamlined and cohesive look.
Shadow features a robust aft deck helipad that supports a maximum take-off weight of 3,700kg, making it suitable for a variety of helicopter models. The helipad spans 190 square meters, providing ample space for safe and efficient operations.
The aft deck also doubles as a storage area for water toys and equipment. The Heila deck crane, with a lifting capacity of up to 12 tons, ensures easy deployment of tenders, personal submarines, and other gear. This crane can lift 12 tons at 5 meters and 5 tons at 19.1 meters, offering flexibility for various loading and unloading scenarios.
The sun deck is equipped with dining and lounge areas, providing functional spaces for relaxation and socializing. The 50 square meter sundeck is situated just aft of the raised wheelhouse, offering clear views and convenient access.
Interior Design
Shadow features an interior designed to high standards, offering a blend of functionality and comfort. The main deck saloon serves as a central gathering point, providing a comfortable space for relaxation and socializing. The interior decor uses high-quality materials, ensuring durability and a clean, polished look.
Accommodation
Shadow is designed to accommodate up to six guests comfortably. The yacht features a main-deck master suite, providing ample space and privacy for the owner. In addition to the master suite, there are two double guest cabins, each designed to high standards.
Additionally, there is accommodation for up to 4 members of the owner's staff and security team. She is also capable of carrying up to 11 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by 4 x diesel Caterpillar (3512C) 6,000hp engines running at 1800rpm, motor yacht Shadow is capable of reaching a top speed of 21 knots, and comfortably cruises at 14 knots. With her 230,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 5,000 nautical miles at 10 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters.
